My justice...it isn't punishing the wicked, it's making sure that wicked deeds don't happen to begin with.
[He doesn't like to be an enforcer. He just likes to make things kind.]
I guess...I don't know. I didn't think I was, not at first. But ever since I became a god, and I think about myself and what life was like and who I am...that's when I started to feel really sad about not having friends or a family. When I think about how that feels, and how mean people can be to each other, I just want to stop it.
[ It's not something she thinks is possible. People can get better and improve, but not everyone believes in kindness. She won't say that since she's not here to disrespect gods today. ]
It's not a bad thing to want to stop people from doing terrible things or leaving others alone. The world... any world is wide and varied and full of as many beautiful things as ugly. But... it looks like you've gained friends here, right?
Yeah...I know it is. Which is why I'm going to work really, really hard. I know...as much as I want it to be perfect, it won't be, and sometimes I'll feel sad or discouraged, but I'm still going to make sure that it's a good world, and not a bad one.
[Justice nods.]
I have! I don't think...too many of them think I should win, because of how young I am, and I understand that, so it's okay. I'm...I-I'm really happy for all the friends I'm making either way.
[ She blows air, ruffling her bangs. She can't believe she's going to say this to this god, but here she is anyway. ]
If you want to win, go for it. Age is a number, and if you have the nerve and the will, show them. You can do anything at any age if you steel your heart for it.
[ Her voice grows soft. ]
One of my oldest and dearest friends decided she wanted to save the world when she was five, and she's worked for it since then.
I know I don't have too much experience, yet, but that doesn't mean I plan on backing down. I want to talk to everyone here, because I learn more and more with each person.
I'd love to. A long time ago, I was building sand castles, and I told Satsuki-chan I'd build her one, too. [ More like, she said she wanted a sand castle, and every little boy in the vicinity rushed to make her one. ]
She said she would turn her sand into concrete and make it into skyscraper because a building that blows away in a gust of wind is worthless. I said, "But all buildings fall down eventually!" Do you know what she said to that?
[ She pitches her voice higher for her five year old self and lower for Satsuki. ]
"Then you should build one in your mind. A skyscraper built int your mind will never fall down."
[ She folds her hands in front of her heart. ]
That's why, if the paper city you're building is also being built inside your heart, it won't ever fall apart.

[Being alone...is the worst.]
As long as they all have someone, that's what's most important. It'll be a really good city, that way.

[ That's the sense she's getting. ]
Is that your brand of justice?

[Absorbing these perspectives like a sponge!]
Would...would you tell me about your friend?

Build the city...inside my heart.
[He sounds like he's completely entranced, the words sinking in deeper and deeper.]
I can see why you like her so much. That's an amazing way to think.

I love her. Just remember that a city inside your heart can never fall, as long as your heart is strong.
