I think the idea behind it was if we opened it to anyone who'd answer the call we'd only get people who actually wanted to be here... and that they wouldn't all be biased in a single person's favor to start out.

On Auldrant, we don't really have... gods. I mean, we kind of do? Except they're, uh, big groups of fonons that talk! God just means "super duper strong" or something, you know?
...Coming here is my first time hearing so many people talk about gods like they're actually people. It really took a while to understand it!
