You think so? [Justice pauses in thought.] What were you expecting?

I'm not really sure. [ he frowns, thinking ] I guess I never really thought there was a such thing as 'justice' in the kind of place I was in.

[divus]

Was it...a bad place? Were you unhappy there, or scared?

[odasaku]

It...

[ he hesitates, thinking about his answer. he never really put thought into his surroundings or his opinions about it before, having decided to just trudge on with his life. first, an assassin. then, an errand boy for the mafia. now...

now he's nothing. a ghost, perhaps. ]

I was never scared, no. Not for myself. But it's a harsh world. Cruel.

I'm sorry.

[Justice sags.]

But I understand. That's why I want to make a new one that isn't like that.

A new world?

[ oda quirks an eyebrow ]

Is that what you want to do?

[divus]

Yes! Well...the world's already here, but it doesn't have any kind of order. So I'm going to make it one that has order, one that isn't hurtful to anyone. Wouldn't a place like that just be so nice? Where everyone can be a big family?

[odasaku]

[ there's a long, heavy silence as oda muses what they just said. a vision like that is definitely fit for a child, but is it really applicable to real life?

that's what he's unsure of. ]

It'd be nice. I just can't imagine it at all.

Not even a little bit?

[ :( Justice's shoulders sag a little bit.]

I know it's not something that'll be easy, but...that's why I'm going to work really, really hard.

[odasaku]

[ well, he can't see their face, but the shoulders sagging is telling enough for oda. gently, he reaches to pat their head. ]

Don't be sad, I'm just not that imaginative. I know you can do it.

So you believe in me?

[Weh!!!]

[ oda's eyes widen just a bit, clearly surprised by this. ]

I'm still unsure if I deserve to be serving you. But I'll do my best not to let you down.

[And just like that, Justice launches forward and gives Oda a hug. You're CURSED, Oda.]
