[There's a laugh behind the mask. The food's pretty top-notch stuff and yet there's just enough for Jude to eat his fill.]
It's rather rude not to have something prepared for a guest. That, and...[A gesture to the mask, and a subtle tug. It can't be removed, it seems.] In the presence of you and others in the temple, these masks conceal us for now.
[So no, gods eat, they're just stuck whenever they're speaking to followers.]
I see, well I'll try not to be distracting when I eat. Senri said you wanted to see me?
[ Because it's also rude to eat in front of someone without them also having to eat!! Either way, it's rude to turn it down so he'll take a bite of the sandwich. ]
That's correct. [Apparently this god doesn't care that Jude's eating and maybe someday the dumb mask will come off and they can partake. For now, yes, the matter of Senri.]
I wanted to see how you were doing. This temple's a bit different than what you're used to, no?
[ The comment about the temple he's use to takes him by surprise but then he should have expected it. Gods and all... He looks down at his sandwich as he speaks. ]
Yeah... Very different.
[ if not just from the size of it then the atmosphere of it as well. ]
What I'm used to doesn't hold a candle to what you all have going here. [ He'll look back up at Beauty. ] But despite all of the differences, I would say that I've been doing okay.
[It's overwhelming to some, Beauty thinks. It's nice to check in and make sure everyone's okay.]
That's good to hear. We tried to make this place as comfortable as possible, but it's been a little difficult meeting all of you face to face. It's why I sent Little Rabbit with the roses.
[They mean Senri.]
But...you've chosen Sincerity? How are you two getting along? [Beauty does not know they may not have spoken yet.]
I got that impression. He reminds me a little of myself. [That's maybe terrifying.]
To be honest, most of us do have our own wonderful qualities that qualified us for this situation. Though there are some who have a higher request rate than others, as I'm sure you can imagine. [Ruin and Disorder and Cunning are Bad Names, tbh.] Have you met with many of us? Or have others told you?
[ Jude's going to leave that one alone to process at another time, especially considering what he learns from Beauty next. ]
I could imagine something like that but perhaps actively acknowledging it is another matter. [ He likes to think best of people even when they're shitty. Maybe they're all asking for love!!! ] But so far, I've only met you and Sincerity face-to-face.
[ such a small sample of all of the gods, he knows. ]
I didn't introduce myself to Patience.... I didn't know what to say to them.
Sincerity is kind and perhaps second-best to myself. Lady Love as well. [Beauty can acknowledge that even those less-than-favorable gods have good qualities for leadership but that doesn't mean they agree or even like those.
At the mention of Patience though, they pause.] What is it that you've heard of Patience, Mathis-kun?
[ Love, Beauty, and Sincerity being the kinder of the gods made sense but Jude makes a note of it nevertheless. ]
Not too much. I've overheard plenty of the others have a positive interactions with them, however. [ He'll smile a little. ] They do seem very friendly.
[ ... ]
Oh, Senri told me to tell you he said "Hi". Sorry, I just remembered.
Certainly so, but there are others in our pantheon just as kind and lovely to get to know. [However, strangely, Beauty doesn't seem to elaborate on what Jude says regarding Patience. Rather, their posture's a little more stiff and there's a cant of the head.]
I suppose friendly is a word I would use.
[Moving on!] That's quite alright. Nito-kun has been assisting where I can't reach this week. I imagine he'll wish to know that his actions have been well met.
[There's a pause then.] Though I'm not your patron, I have called you here for a reason. I'd like to offer my aid to you should you ever require it.
Her mask is rather ugly. [Thanks Beauty, but the tone doesn't quite match the words. They're quick to move on again though.]
Because I believe that even if I'm not your patron, you and I could work well together. That, and I suppose, should you ever feel a need to change alliances you'll think of me. [There's a quiet hum following that.] In the end we all want the same thing, don't we? A better world. A wish granted.
[ okay??? but Jude can take the hint and will let the subject drop. ]
Working together is the most ideal way to solve a problem like this, or at least finding ways to compromise. [ And yet none of these gods can figure it out. ] I won't mind helping you, however...
[ It was fair to gather as much information about the gods when they can, right? ]
Of course. You wouldn't be the first to ask, and naturally you'd like to know what you're playing for. [Beauty takes a moment to consider how to phrase it.] I'd like to see a world where people can pursue their dreams and their goals despite their circumstances they're born into or have placed upon them. And with that, I'd like a world where families can be happy together and people aren't alone and don't have to be alone...if people can connect and live each day together discovering something new and experiencing things all the time, I believe the world would be more beautiful. It's nice sharing things you love with someone else, isn't it? Why shouldn't the world be like that?
Re: WEEK 1, THURSDAY
Thank you... [ walking over towards the table and taking his seat. ] And this is plenty for me.
[ looking at the differences between the two of them. ]
Were you not going to have anything yourself?
[ Do gods eat? ]

[ Jude totally means this in the best way possible. There's no problems with someone who wants to be a busy body. ]
They seem nice and understanding—I haven't spoken to them too much. [ Hmmm.... ] You all seem nice, honestly.

[ sorry but he's not going to miss that, though he is distracted by the other thing that Beauty says. It was interesting that they called him here. ]
