I agreed because the alternative was to sit idly by and watch as further conflict ruptures our ranks...I want to help, and the best way that I can do that is to obtain the respect from my peers that I don't currently possess.

For the most part, I get along well with each of the other gods individually, but I've been too passive to properly mediate the lot of them, or get them to listen to my ideals. I'm hoping, if I win this, they'll be much more open to what I have to say. And from there, to one another.
I'm already working with another god on the other side of the general schism, in the hopes that if I or any of my allies don't win, I'll still have a foothold to help create balance between all of us.
It's only a rough generalization, but you can say that our ranks are divided in two. It's not that the individuals on one sides wish for peace while the ones on the other doesn't so much as...the bonds that have formed between one side conflicts with the bonds formed on the other. There's a conflict of interest and personality, as well as directly contradicting abilities that, due to lack of direction or accord, breed hostility and chaos among our world.

I want us to be able to find the best way to work together--if not with one another, than around one another in a way that's effective and allows everyone their own chances to be heard and appreciated. Does that all make sense?
Yes, it does make sense! Interpersonal conflict is often the reason relationships degrade, from my observations.
Do you believe this competition will solve that problem? Personally, I am not sure that one person presiding over the affairs of your world will fix your current standings.
That's why I don't intend to act necessarily as an official leader so much as a mediator. I want us to work equally and to our fullest capacity. All I want is a platform in order to delegate without being spoken for.
Yes. I actually have an alliance with Cunning, but I'm not sure if he's relayed this to Ambition or Disorder. We haven't spread the information around too much yet, but since you're on Ambition's team, I think it's useful for you to know.

It's possible that Cunning is keeping it to himself, for now. Out of the three of them, he and I see the most eye-to-eye. I've told a couple of other competitors who I believed wouldn't misuse the information, so I'll trust you similarly.
