[ BY CONSENSUS NO WE DO NOT HAVE THE REMOTE, the tv was turned off and the remote left on a table before they stepped into an elevator. they're conscientious thieves, alright?
[The elevator doors close behind them, and the elevator starts to descend. When they open the box, the first thing they'll see is a hair comb lying inside of it.
The second thing they'll see is a whirling ball of golden light which emerges from it and circles around them both several times before solidifying into the form of a small, bee-like creature.]
How may I serve you, my-- [The creature's eyes open, and then narrow.] ...you are not my queen, either.
There's really nothing for it. Obviously he can't hide what he's saying from this thing, and there's no point in trying, but he does pitch his voice low to direct this comment just at Connor. ]
The wielder of the Bee Miraculous has the ability to completely immobilize their opponents. To transform, they need only say "Pollen, buzz on!" and the magic will handle the rest.
[ While Pollen explains, Yu will carefully lift the comb out of its box, peering at it curiously. He handles it gently, but turns it this way and that. It really does look like a normal comb, for the most part.
Thoughtfully he'll frown, and he'll hold it up to Connor to see how it looks. ... nah, this would look pretty goofy on him as an actual hair comb. Let's hold it up to his lapel instead... ]

Whatever, Connor doesn't need to understand it. He's alright, and that's all that matters. ]
... it's fine. We should go.
[ Though he'll lead the way back inside, over to the elevator, he'll glance at Connor over his shoulder. ]
Are we really taking that box with us?
no subject
Would you like to check it out on our way down? If it's not worth our time, we can always return it.
no subject
is eurovision on this tv forever]
no subject
Anyway this will go fine because Yu nods. ]

Once they're both in the elevator, pressumably on their way to the lobby, Connor takes the box out of his pocket and opens it up.]

Yu, more or less unfazed, just kind of blinks. ]
Hello.
[ ... ]
"Either"?
no subject
... Good evening.
[Hm.]
Are you referring to Ambition?
no subject
[welp.]
She's my queen. [The creature looks around, suddenly realizing that... they're in the elevator.] ...are you taking me somewhere?
no subject
Buddy. We made a mistake. ]
... we weren't exactly intending to, no.
[ but they, uh, sure are now. ]
no subject
... But it seems like we are now. [Yikes.] Will that be a problem?

[inb4 ambition comes looking for her and can't find her]

We can't. She's been through enough.
no subject
...
...
He sighs.]
I didn't realize it was sentient.
[More to Yu than to their new acquaintance, but. You know. They're in an elevator. It's hard to be secretive.]
We won't keep you for long. But in the meantime, can you tell us about you? I've never seen a being like you.
[Since the elevator is conveniently taking A While.]

I am a kwami, and my name is Pollen. I serve the wielder of the Bee Miraculous.

"Bee Miraculous"... [Lifting the box up a little, so Yu can take a better look at the comb as well.] You mean this?
no subject
Connor, though...]
Yes, that.
no subject
Yu will blink exactly twice, and then murmur to Connor: ]
You wanna ask that one?
no subject
Could you answer his question, too? [Binch.] Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
no subject
I assist the wielder of the Miraculous in transforming to make use of my power.
no subject
[ ... glances at Connor. You'll have to pass that question along together with your own, buddy. ]

[Guess they're playing the weirdest version of telephone now.]
