YEAH THAT'S KIND OF what Madoka figured

so when he says things like "I'm your dad now" he comes across as way more serious and invested in it than, say, Majima, who she thinks is always at LEAST half joking. or saying that she'll be his son's older sister - Madoka is a little bit sensitive about her role in her old life, because she wants to continue to identify as the child of her parents and the sister of her brother, so his statements are almost, like... presumptuous and pushy, to her? so she doesn't like them.

BUTTTTTT after hearing about his son she basically filters that feeling through: oh no this poor sad pathetic man with unresolved family trauma :( so she can side-step her own discomfort and focus on that angle.
