Madoka really doesn't know what to make of Guy...

Because she didn't really know him before he murdered her friend and crush, that's a... Really rough first impression. I think they had some almost-threads so, like, presumably she knew who he was and stuff? But that was SUCH AN IMPACT before they'd interacted meaningfully...

And she had already made casual friends with Luke, and Guy had made Luke so upset. At the same time, the best way Madoka could think of to comfort Luke was to explain how - Madoka has had friends who have done terrible things for her sake. And she still considers them friends. Best friends, even. So she talked up not being able to condemn him to Luke, and always talked up that the contestants didn't design the contest for the entire game...

So she's conflicted. I think that she basically accepts what he did and doesn't hate him for it, but she also doesn't forgive him. He's a person she would probably always continue to treat respectfully, but never want to get close with.

... I think if she knew him better, his dramatic speech that snapped Cunning out of it might have been a turning point where she maybe would have 'remembered' what it was that was good about him before The Murders. But as things were she just appreciates that he was able to help someone she likes so much, and that's that.

She doesn't want him to make Luke sad again. :T
