but basically very early on jude picked up on how senri was running around and making himself to be everyone’s best friend and wanting to know everything about anything and everyone. it made sense to him that someone as personable as senri that would do something like this. it was a way to play the game as well, and in the beginning, jude didn’t think about “playing the game”; he was still thinking of how to circumvent the rules that were in place. he wanted to see how flexible they were… however it became more and more obvious to jude that senri was running himself down and… he wanted to do something. however, obviously, jude also understood how this was how senri felt useful to everyone.
it’s kind of why he allowed senri to continue to run rampant as long as he did and justified that using shelter on senri would help ease his mind some as to what he could do to help. it was funny how senri kept wanting to be more helpful to jude because jude felt as though senri was far more helpful than him by a longshot. jude could never talk to as many people as senri did. jude is a considerably more private person who doesn’t open up...and shy even. the idea of jumping into the center light would have flustered him and he couldn’t take it. the main times where jude felt as though he was useful was when he contributed something to the trials and whenever he got the chance to help others via medical attention.
though because of senri, jude was able to act a bit more towards the gods. he was wary of them but given how much senri talked to them and admired them, he agreed to try more. (but I, jude’s player, suck...) so, in a way, senri admiring jude made jude want to be even better for senri. he wanted to feel as though there was something to feel proud of given how jude didn’t think there was anything especially great he was doing… if anything, he was playing catch-up with senri in terms of how he felt useful. of course he goes on to die and then i yeet myself into another country so jude couldn’t help much from the grave but……

tmw when you admire someone who is actually admiring you back??? except also senri needed to sit the fuck down except jude didn't want to say anything to him except for That One Time.
