Near Paris. [There's an odd pause, and perhaps it's a little ironic that he's telling Senri this.] My mother and I lived in a mansion there until I was fourteen.

Ohh? And then you moved to Japan -

Do you miss it? France.

Sometimes, but Japan has been a great adventure. Experiencing a whole new culture has been exciting! My father used to write about it in his letters, but being able to see everything and do everything myself has been fun.

[usogi]

Ahaha, you sound like someone I know...

[Issei-san also travels around a lot and seems to be surprised by Japanese culture at times....]

Well, if you ever get tired of being a god and feel like coming back, you'll have to find me.

I will. [He's serious about that, too.] But I don't know if I can become tired of being a god. Reverse ascension isn't really something we can do...

I want to learn everything. [There's a nod because yeah, big-ass bookcase.] I've traveled around the world but it still isn't enough. I want to be among the people and learn more about them. I want to learn more about the commoner's way of living...and I want to learn what makes other people happy.

There are some things you can't find in books, I think.

I think... I'm still learning more of the second one myself - because there are plenty of ways to make people happy, that I'm trying to figure out.

I try not to make it suuuper obvious. It's not that my school has something against commoners, exactly but... Ah, well, I'm just glad that the money I make from shows is good, or else it'd be a lot more obvious.

I think people like that are charming - my best friend comes from a super remote island. He has this really cute accent and everything.

He really stuck out.... but I liked it, because he felt more real than me in every single way.

Yes...people like that have a way of making things come into focus and changing everything around them. Ahhh she was so cute the first day we met! She's been posing as a boy since she transferred into our school, but she makes for a perfect host.
