[Here we fucking go then. When Senri's close enough, Indulgence slides the rest of the way and grabs him by the waist, taking one of his hands and maneuvering them right into a tango. Maybe Indulgence can pretend to not be the biggest twink in the room as he dips Senri.]

So, what's the occasion? Not that I mind if you're really just here to dance.

[i guess this is fucking happening. senri will let his hand fall into indulgence's and he lets him lead, following his steps easily and laughing as he allows himself to be dipped, head falling back because he IS the biggest twink in the room before he looks back up at him]

It's been a while! I thought I should make up on some lost time - and apologize.

Oh, you mean about that whole lying mess? I'd already forgotten.

[Clearly he hadn't since he just up and recalled it immediately. But anyway he gives Senri a spin.]

Not surprised he told you he's with me; he said something about you being a "family"--not that I really get it. But hey, not my business. The two of us are pretty tight.

[Insert more tango moves I don't know more than that they're spicy.]

How's that been working out? Tough break on that Mutiny over the weekend. Jerk move, if I do say so myself.

Ah - he found me first thing after everything shifted over. I think we're okay now, even if it was a pretty nasty curse.

Nah. Basically been on my own since as long as I can remember.

[I think the TV Show might've given him parents but I'm not going to count that canon...]

Eh, you know, never really thought about not having anyone when there's always been people around to take care of things for me--me having been an Emperor and all.

[This probably explains so much about him.]

Well, that's all in the past now, so why be jealous? It's not like there's anyone in my life like that anymore. Look, everyone can call me an idiot if they want but I'm not half as blind as one might think. I know when I'm unwanted. And trust me, I am.

[that makes senri pause, and he very nearly misses a step - ]

I would be, too. [ . . . ] I know I lied before, but it wasn't anything personal. I... did a lot of that in the beginning.

Oops--careful.

[Indulgence reorients the two of them as Senri's foot stumbles.]

Yeah, yeah, sure. But you know, wanting someone to be safe doesn't necessarily mean much. I've lost five followers, so what's one more? How many people wanted to keep Fortune safe? How many people like that kid Piety, but he hasn't regained a single follower in weeks.

[he's also a little surprised that he wasn't scolded for missing the step?]

I think.... it's complicated. A lot of people like Beauty, but he's down to one this week too. It's the difficult thing about this game. No matter how many gods I like, there's still only one of me... you know?

Maybe since you're making yourself more visible this week, you'll have more luck. People might've gotten discouraged when you turned down their offerings....

Oh, come on! I only rejected like, four offerings! And then I realized I was being unfair and I stopped doing that!

Everyone here is so unforgiving. Disorder didn't get anything out of hosting, so I'm not so sure I'm feeling all that confident in my chances.

[He's immediately heated, clearly, this has been on his mind. Finally, he brings their tango to a close and starts pacing, arms flailing wildly as he speaks.]

There's something that really chafes me about how she and cunning keep getting all the followers even though people are being forced off their teams by her followers. Like, what gives, right?
