This whole difference in time periods thing is really weird after a while. [Did he know Majima was from the 80s? No. But he's watching Senri work even as he thinks on that question.]
You can ask, but are you sure you're gonna like the answer? It's not as nice as Sincerity's or anything.
[Weirdly, he sounds a little more relaxed and casual than the last time they spoke.]
[and senri is just thoughtful as he keeps setting up the Switch. maybe it's because his back's to Cunning that he can be a little more earnestl]
... I figure it can't all be easy, right? All the things that you went through - all the gods - to get to this point. To decide to answer a call to rule a new world.
You don't have to share if you don't want to, though. But Taka likes you, and you can't sacrifice me in case you get voted for at trial anymore, so I thought we could talk again.
Taka liking you is the main reason I wouldn't have sacrificed you in the first place. [Probably. But Cunning sighs and tilts his head up toward the ceiling in thought.]
What was I doing before this...? I was in the middle of a war and leading armies. Nothing tragic like Piety and nothing fun like Sincerity.
it's why he mentally shrugs bc also like he's not offended... he would prefer to be sacrificed ahead of madoka and zoe anyway but he doesn't say that.]
A little. [Hah.] The Olympians didn't have a competition like this or anything, but the war went on for a couple of years even if the last battle didn't last that long. It was a power struggle between the old leaders and the new ones. In the end, the Olympians won.
Yup. Having other people know my fate and refuse to tell me for almost ten years wasn't exactly the best way to earn my trust or respect. And I did what I had to do. It's why the Olympians won.
[But yeah, the Switch.] Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore. What's done is done back there and the world's moving on. So I'm focusing on this one.
Yeah... A lot of people believe in him, because they like the idea of balance. That way all the gods will be able to have a say, and you'll make up for each others weaknesses, and bolster each other's strengths, right?
He has experience leading too...
That's why people have told me to try to get others to switch to him.
Not sure. I won't have anything for certain until... maybe Friday...? I don't want anyone to get hurt. I think it'd actually be best if we can make it through the week without it. But after that, then I can figure out what numbers I have to work with.
... all I want is for as many people to get their wishes as possible. Bambi said that obviously it'd help if a large number of people were already on the winning team. But I think some people are really split between her and Pippin, no matter how much I say that Bambi's grown a lot over the course of the game. They might not be able to see it.
The game was never about murder. It was always just an option and it's why I backed it, frankly. I wanted to see what would happen, and before you say it, yeah, I'm aware that was kind of fucked up. But it was a weird couple of weeks when we were designing this place. It's not impossible to get through a week without a death. It's all up to you guys though.
...she's grown so much. [Fond...] But I'm worried about the kind of pressure she'd be under if it was up to her to grant all of those wishes. I trust her to do it, but...you've met her. She's stubborn that way. [He's just changing Peach's colors, it's fine.]
Give me your sales pitch. What's the benefit of Ambition, and what's the benefit of Piety?
[.... moe.... he's a caring father and it makes senri smile idly even as he looks at the screen]
She said she'd grant small wishes for everyone - so I hope that means she won't overexert herself. I figure you or Dizzy or someone would try to stop her, right? Or at least talk to her beforehand.... but -
Well, it's tough.
Bambi's grown a lot, but not a lot of people can see that so they sometimes have to take my word for it - but she's doing great? She has so much potential, unlimited potential! The ambition is obvious, and that means she'll always only get better. A world where hard work is rewarded will lead to a lot of really amazing things? People will just push themselves to improve, and I don't think her delegation idea is bad either - so long as she gets some help on how to divide things up cleanly, and be a little kinder while she does it.
Pippin's is good too, though. If I'm to be honest, it's the one that I'm more comfortable with - because I like the idea of balance. Everyone here is really worried about the gods they're loyal to, and a world where each god would be able to make up for each other's strengths and weaknesses without overtaking the other sounds perfect to me. He has leadership experience that Bambi doesn't, but he's also just a little bit more... I dunno, softspoken? Merriment said he'd be worried about being bowled over, but I guess Pippin would just need people to listen to him...? But he'd have you to back him, so that's not bad.
I can give these pitches about most gods, though.
At the end of the day, I'll listen to whatever most people want, because I want to help them get their wishes.
I'll guide her where I can and make sure she's working in her limits. She might hate me for it, but it's the least I can do.
[But he listens to that description, nodding along because this tracks with what he's been made aware of.]
It's not a bad strategy to play that way and listen to what people want to accomplish, so long as you take into account you might get people who want other people's wishes to come true when you don't agree with them. Do you think most people here should get their wishes?
no subject
[but he's definitely setting up the TV then, because this guy needs to try some of the new stuff out]
What were you doing - before you became a god? Can I ask?
[senri doesn't have an actual purpose in being here he was just told to because of the rule so might as well just
fuckin chat]

... and the rule, but. Other factors still apply.

A modern war...? Against what?

he knows what Brawl is]

[Sorry for Senri.]

... I'm sure you did what you thought was right. Is that why your world is all about not being constrained to fate?

That does sound difficult - but at least you get to make the rules now, right? Or at least - a couple of them.
[considering however responsibilities might get divided up once they all leave]

Have you talked to Piety recently about this kind of stuff?

He has experience leading too...

Anyway...how's that going? The switching thing.

[unexpected but okay. senri picks Kirby.
