Once the batter is mixed together, you need to dip the bread in it. Make sure the bread is throughly soaked.

You could make your own bread, but that's another step.

Existing is only the first step in living. There's so much more than that and...I think people deserve the chance to. [Love looks down at the batter and the bread, still watching carefully.] I think making my own bread would take way too long without a breadmaker or something, so this works, too.

It's...sort of like French toast then. The same steps and everything?

I think so? I've never gone to France, but if it's a batter covered bread it's probably a similar thing.

You cook this on both sides for three minutes each and then add some jam.

I was able to eat it for breakfast once.

Well maybe, but I meant just eating things like this or even learning new things from you.

The older you are the more experiences you can have.

Mmm...that's not always true. Some adults don't have any experiences in their whole life because they don't do anything. [Thanks Love.] Meanwhile, some kids have way too much experience with stuff...even if it's not all good.

...there's this little girl I used to know. [She watches what Sieg's doing.] She was only about seven years old, but she was one of the most independent people I've ever met. Really mature and everything...she'd do her homework by herself and go grocery shopping and everything. But there was also an adult I knew once who was just bored with things because he didn't try new things or look at the world differently. He almost hurt a lot of people.

There's just a moment where he looks lost. Is that not normal for children? One of the Black Faction's Masters was a child. Even if Sieg never knew exactly how old he was.

...I'm sorry. There are, but...I want a world where that won't happen and people won't feel like that's the only way to make things right. It's not fair, right? Why should people get to do that?

I'd like a world like that too.

The people like that... when they do whatever they want to, it's awful for everyone else. I don't know how people get to that point, but I wish it didn't happen.
