I thought... maybe people would be kinder if they empathized, and if they're tied together, they're less likely to hurt each other.

...your heart is in the right place. I hope you're right. [That would be wonderful, wouldn't it?] Be kind and listen to the people around you. If they feel supported, maybe they'll ask for help before it comes down to hurting everyone else.

I can at least do that much, even I don't know how much people will ask a homunculus like me for help.

Do you really think people are going to judge you just for that? It's not like you're the only non-human we invited here.

I'm just... used to that from when I first gained sentience.

I think if you talk to people here and prove you're more than what you were created for nobody's going to mind. I knew someone like you once who was born with a different purpose. He turned out pretty okay.

Maybe another time. [They sound regretful.] There's only so much I can say right now since we've just met, but I want to continue getting to know you. It's just one of our rules, in a way.

Are your rules different than the ones we have?

You can visit me any time, Sieg-san. Leave an offering or a prayer and I'll answer. [But there's a pause.] Sort of. We have our own guidelines among ourselves that we made up, but we didn't really plan that well. I'm afraid I can't tell you much more than that though. I'm sorry.

That's alright. [There are rules to everything, after all.]

... Speaking of guidelines though, there's twelve of them. Did all the gods write one for us?

[There's a little shrug, but.]

We couldn't agree on a full set, so we all pitched in. Do they help?

Did you write the 8th guideline? The one about remembering how important bonds are?

[divus]

Some of us contradict each other. [But they suddenly clap their hands in delight.] That's right though! I think it's very, very important, especially in a contest like this.

[heartmunculus]

I think it's important too.

[Yeah... he feels like he made a good decision aligning to Love.]

[If he'll let them, they'll slowly reach out to take one of his hands in their own.]

Keep your bonds strong. And make a lot of them. Isn't the saying that "love conquers all"?

[Love will keep them safe, they think, and that's important, too.]
