...I mean, I heard some stuff behind the scenes about him making alliances with other gods before this alliance, so he might not be wrong to be worried. It depends on what he agreed to do with them.
I don't have those details, though. What did Piety say he wants?
Piety said he wanted to have a voice. The best platform from which he could mediate where people couldn't overlook him. But... after all these weeks, he thinks the other gods will be willing to listen to him once the world is made.
It's true that more of us are willing to listen than we were before.
Like I said, I dunno what the details of his arrangements are. But if he wasn't in the lead, and he thinks he'll still be able to have a platform to speak... well, maybe it had something to do with one of the other gods giving him that platform if they won. I can think of a good chunk of gods who'd be pretty cross if he made that kind of arrangement with them and then went and won the whole thing himself.
I heard something about Piety tempering Cunning a bit if he won, but... that was weeks ago. I don't know those details either, so I can't speak on them.
... But if Piety can get a platform without winning, I think he'll be okay with the results. He seems like he's on good terms with everyone. Or at least those who have spoken to him.
