Merriment's actually a good liar when he needs to be, but since he's not so openly shady nobody suspects it. But who says I can't? ...is it really lying if I'm just not telling the whole truth? Like lies of omission. Maybe they'll believe me, too.

The only thing I can't do is outright tell you guys who the culprit is. But I don't think there's anything that says I can't say who I think the culprit isn't.

In that case, if Ishikirimaru and Takaomi have to do anything drastic, try and cover for them as well.

Sure. Studying the enemy's weak points and assessing our own strengths is what I used to do for our team back home anyway. This is just sort of different.

Trust me, I know. It almost makes the whole divinity thing fit right in. But can't the same be said for just about anybody here?

Well…I learned how to be more patient, first of all. But I think I also learned a lot about strategy and how to be more honest with everybody. And how to help people even more than I was before.

I think the most important thing I learned was that I can do things even if my powers aren't as great as the others. Doesn't that count for something?

... Yeah. Those are pretty good lessons.
