[When Ray arrives at the lab, Justice is standing with the bouquet embraced in their arms. Their stance is poised, almost like they're standing on their toes.]
Thank you so much! I love these--I'm going to put them in my room later, like a centerpiece!
Clocks and stuff like that. [he'll elaborate on the "taking apart" part.] ... Someone and I used to do that when we were younger. Take 'em apart and put 'em back together.
Haven't had the time to do anything for fun as of late, though.
[instead he just does stuff like fix... self-destruction systems...]
Since I already set up my room, I'm only allowed to make additions to it that are on its existing theme. And I can only give out items to individuals as a reward, or a blessing, for completing a task for me.
[Another pause, and their voice lights up, childishly cheerful.]
Oh! But I can put whatever I want in the hall I have dominion over when I'm the week's host, so since you've told me in advance, I can make sure there are medical supplies available inside of it!
[Justice deflates even further, seeming to become smaller and smaller.]
Maybe I'm still hoping that they'll reconsider, and play more nicely than that.
[But it's clear that they don't believe that's going to be the case. Justice isn't slow enough not to realize that a god called "ruin" at least isn't going to wait around for everyone to find peace with each other.]
To be honest, it's the kind of thing beyond the scope of most people. Then again, things might be different for a god—even if, from what I've seen, you guys are pretty human-like so far.
[Something in Ray's comment seems to sincerely please Justice, even if none of it was particularly meant as a compliment so much as a general observation.]
WEEK 1
Thank you so much! I love these--I'm going to put them in my room later, like a centerpiece!
no subject
[because he had no idea what the hell a god of justice would like.]
So you're Justice, huh? Thanks for all this.
[he gestures to the lab.]
no subject
[An infirmary would have also been useful, but, ah, an attempt was made.]
Do you like to build things?
no subject
no subject
[Justice sounds curious, though maybe a little apprehensive.]
What's it usually like for you? What kind of things do you like?
[There's a momentary pause where they look down at their paper mache flowers.]
Oh, I'm sorry, I'm asking you so many questions when you probably want to ask me some, don't you?
no subject
Haven't had the time to do anything for fun as of late, though.
[instead he just does stuff like fix... self-destruction systems...]
Well, kind of, yeah.
no subject
I see! You learn their inner workings that way, and see how they, um, how they tick!
[They laugh, almost like they're proud of themselves for saying something funny or clever.]
I'll answer anything you'd like, especially because you were so thoughtful.
no subject
... Well, first: I don't suppose you could get us medical supplies?
[like
yeah
that would've been useful too.]
no subject
[Justice pauses, thinking.]
Since I already set up my room, I'm only allowed to make additions to it that are on its existing theme. And I can only give out items to individuals as a reward, or a blessing, for completing a task for me.
[Another pause, and their voice lights up, childishly cheerful.]

no subject
[watch justice never be the host]
But seriously, did none of you guys think that we could use even a first aid kit?
no subject
[It sounds like a truly honest apology.]
I guess we had a lot going on when we were deciding...we should have done a better job. I really hope nobody actually does get hurt.
no subject
Well, if some gods are going to be encouraging us to murder one another...
no subject
Maybe I'm still hoping that they'll reconsider, and play more nicely than that.
[But it's clear that they don't believe that's going to be the case. Justice isn't slow enough not to realize that a god called "ruin" at least isn't going to wait around for everyone to find peace with each other.]
It isn't right to harm innocent people.
no subject
So you're on the "no murder" side. [good to know.] Then, when would you consider it acceptable to harm someone? Out of curiosity.
no subject
[Everything has different perspectives.]
Self-defense? Or...to protect someone? Or I suppose, in a way, for the greater good...but I think even that has its limits.
no subject
no subject
That's not, um, bad, is it?
no subject
Though because the world isn't a better place, I wouldn't claim that it's the most practical way of thinking. No offence.
no subject
No...it's okay. I'm still learning, so I'm always open to advice on how to be more practical.
no subject
no subject
Yeah? You really think so?
no subject
no subject
[Weh.]
no subject
You gave us a laboratory. I'm pretty sure a large portion of the people here now love you.
... You don't want to scare people, though?
no subject
No, of course not! Back home, people were frightened of me...but I just want to be friends.
