I hate to talk poorly of any of them. Truly, they all do have their redeeming qualities, though they're often overshadowed by behaviors that I believe in some of their cases have manifested as learned defense mechanisms.
[They actually kind of feel a bit bad about how much flack they get, even though he understands it.]
I've never personally had conflict with Cunning, though I've always gotten the impression that his view of me may hold a measure of pity for my perceived weaknesses.
Ambition, I've always found, is a particularly lonely and misunderstood young girl who acts out in order to impress the wrong kinds of people. I feel very sorry for her.
[Piety's gaze lowers, thoughtful.]
But despite any of my efforts to get to know her and gain her trust, she treats ferocity with adoration, and hasn't shown any signs of self-reflection that I've seen. I believe she may feel that if she is not held in high regard or even feared, she somehow lacks worth or importance.
I have to agree with you. I'd like to see her have the time and influences to grow into herself and I'm sure, in time, she'd have a better idea of how to properly utilize a position of authority, but for now, her involvement only worries me.
Unfortunately, some among our ranks take their divinity to put them above humanity in a way that I disgree with. None of you are so simple as a means to an end...I hope they learn that sooner rather than later.
For the sake of what this contest has become, I suppose that's for the best.
[Piety thinks for a moment.]
...but even after all of this, they'll still be gods, and we'll still all have to work with one another underneath one voice. I want them to take this all to heart, and perhaps gain a better perspective of what it means to balance power and authority with responsibility.
Good. That drive, ultimately, is important to all of us.
[They do wish that this hadn't turned into a competition of "who gets the best prize" but, well, nothing to do about it.]
I want everyone to be as informed as possible when making any decisions, so any other questions that I can answer, I'll do so to the best of my ability within the rules I've been bound to.
[Piety definitely has to think hard on this one--almost like they want so desperately to have something nicer to say than they do.]
I think that Disorder is similar to Ambition, but reacts to feelings of inadequacy of self predominantly with anger. I've gotten the impression that in her former life, she was in a position of admiration above her peers and struggles now to keep it among such different company. I'm not sure that I'd call her dangerous, exactly...but impulsive and reactive. As long as she doesn't feel disrespected, she usually treats others sweetly.
[But Ray knows just how she reacts when the opposite happens.]
Ruin...Ruin is a dangerous person, though I feel awful saying it.
[Piety shakes their head, rubbing their hands together.]
Ruin is necessary for what she is and what she means to the world, but what she wants is total domination at all costs. If she wins...I don't think it can be argued that this would be disastrous save for anyone who's chosen to follow her for whatever she's promised them.
[And, well, what those people choose to do with the gift they receive back on their own worlds.]

Sounds like a pain to deal with, to be frank. Definitely wouldn't make for a good ruler.

[It's somewhat likely.]
She wouldn't be the first who's already treated her own followers unfavorably, and I'm not unconvinced she'll be the last.

... Yeah, the title is a pretty obvious indicator.

[Otherwise...]
Even if she wins, however, she's still bound to the promises we all made to return everyone back to their worlds safely.

[well that escalated]
What's she like in general temperament? How likely am I to piss her off?
[especially because senri is a coward so it's up to ray to try and meet her ig]
