I'm used to that. [He shifts, pulling his feet up to sit cross-legged instead of letting his legs dangle over the edge of the table.] And it's probably not anybody's fault. Our names were chosen for us, so even if we wanted to be something else I'm not sure we could be.
Fun might've been a better word than "merriment." [He seems to be contemplating.] ...but in terms of this game? Maybe something like...I don't know. Protection.
How many have you met so far anyway? I haven't kept score. [Off the billiard table he goes, apparently too jumpy to sit still. He's also wandering over to one of the TVs to power on a video game.]
At first I just did Ruin because Senri told me to. I figure I should do one "scary" god and one of the nicer ones per day, now that I went through the obvious people.
For someone who annoys you you listen to him a lot. [Idly. And also just because it's funny.] Not a bad way to balance things out either, especially since all of us know secrets about each other. It means you can use that to your advantage. Find out what other gods like, stuff like that.
Doesn't work like that, man. [Sorry.] One of our divine screw-ups is that we can't say too much too fast. It works better if you ask questions? I don't know who put that rule in.
The usual suspects. [Disorder. Ruin. Cunning. But...] Sincerity's nice enough but he's a little much. Beauty and Love are good kids even if they have some growing up to do. Justice, too. Piety's the one I trust the most when it comes to diplomatic decisions. Fortune is hard to read, but I can respect her. Indulgence and Ambition are two sides of the same coin. They could be good kids if they had better influences, but they don't.
[TBF so's Merriment but we don't talk about that.]
...I don't know her that well, but something doesn't feel right about her being a neutral party. Neutral parties are never just neutral parties in the end.

... really? Patience?

She said that you were all idiots and it was too childish for her.
[ okay she didn't say it exactly like that. ]

[That aside:] Okay, so it's true we're a disorganized mess and that this whole game's going to be a mess, but that's a little harsh.

[ taka is the last person who should be allowed to say that ]

[Perhaps Merriment is projecting just a bit...]
