Nice to meet you. Can I still get away with calling you Taka? [Weird how Merriment suddenly actually seems. Merry. Now that he's not dealing with an existential crisis.]

Yeeeah there wasn't a great way to say "by the way I drowned, was reborn by the moon and I create the winter" while you were still getting used to everything around here.

Senri has been extra annoying because of that.

Gotta say though, I was wondering when somebody else would use one of the other abilities. There a reason people keep going after you two?

[Oh. Look Jack's old, not stupid, so he considers that for a moment and considers the things he's seen since Taka came into his care. And also taking into account what Senri's like.]

... hm. He likes Beauty, who I'm pretty sure likes him back, and they're going on a date tomorrow. I think they decided to do it beforehand...

[ basically taka is like 80% sure he's going to get dumped before he and senri even go on an actual date and he is trying to prepare himself for that ]

[Well that's not good, and Jack's face expresses as much as he mulls over that.]

Beauty's a really confused kid but I don't think he's that naive. If he knows about it, he's not gonna get in the way. [Jack has Thoughts about Beauty but that's neither here nor there.] Did…Senri say he likes you back though?

[He's not great at navigating stuff like this and it shows, but he'll at least try because Taka deserves to be happy.]

but also taka is very bad at navigating stuff like this too, considering the only reason he even confessed was because he got too jealous over the beauty+sasuke combo and senri accidentally annoyed him into it. so. ]
