Exactly. [He takes another few steps forward.] It's hard to catch a good breeze when you're not that high up. I usually have to jump from one of the other balconies.

At least halfway across the globe. But the wind doesn't mind letting me go as long as I want. I think the Man in the Moon wanted it that way so I could do my job.

Tell me about it. But Tooth's pretty passionate about her work…it was nice seeing her so happy. [A little fondness? A little fondness.] Can't say I envy her job though.

We had a lot going on. Tooth and Sandy work every night of the week. North and Bunny have one day a year, and I'm seasonal. [Shrug.] But it was nicer than watching everybody else go about their lives around the world.

[He shakes his head.] Don't get too close to the edge. I could catch you, but I'd rather not risk you plummeting ten stories.

Well, it's been a while since I've been really unlucky.

Let's keep it that way. [He's up on the edge of the roof now, glancing this way and that.]

...let's see how this goes. [And with that...he steps off of the edge and disappears from sight.

...but luckily a few seconds later he's soaring through the air like the dumb whimsical fuck he can actually be.]

[A while ago, Jack said he didn't really get why he was named Merriment but that he thought it maybe fit. This is probably suddenly very obvious given he's floating up as high as he can, zipping around, doing a few flips and generally spreading metaphorical wings. As it is, he's going to eventually lap around the 109 and stop in front of Taka again. He hasn't landed yet, but there's a small, icy breeze following him.]

I really hope the new world has this much space. [He knows it will, but he's very pleased. Hi Taka, your god's kind of actually also childish.]

[ he just... watches him, his expression quiet.

it's so nice. he's so different, from their first meeting, and taka wasn't sure that he could feel so very happy for another person as he does right now, watching jack fly. ]

You think? [He's actually grinning? This is absolutely the happiest he's been for week.] I think...maybe I really did know all along and I'd forgotten.

... and it's not like the general mood here has been super cheerful for the most part.

[There are definitely still bad things happening but...they can take a breather at least.]

Tell me about it. But the game's starting to wind down...let's hope next week's maybe an easier one. I'd like to go out of this thing on a high note.
