[Maybe this was a bad idea - Chuuya can't help but shiver, either at the chilly reception or the feeling of being watched. But he's gone through with it, and he doesn't think he was wrong.]
Kind of figured you wouldn't want to be bothered. By me anyway.

[idk that sounds like disorder imagery]
Nothing wrong with that, I guess. Normally I'd offer to drink together, but I get why that's no good.
[he hopes she appreciates the sake later, though...!]
You know why I picked you over the other two? -I've got no idea how much you do and don't know already.

It was for Dadaism.
[One of the art movements that most influenced Chuuya when he was just finding his own style. The anti-war, anti-logic, anti-art. A rejection of the sensibilities that had led to so many useless deaths. The collages, sound poems, the readymades - the people who would argue that a urinal turned on its back and signed is an art piece, or at least a Dada art piece.
Chuuya was never a Dada artist, but he admired them in both philosophy and technique.]
I do still like that part.

It's the first time a god's told me they liked my poetry.
[assuming that this happens before patience's poetry judging anyway
The accusing aura is gone, so Chuuya doesn't step back or anything.]
Some people need restraints to inspire their creativity, but I've never needed a crutch.

Those poems you like so much are worth less than garbage without Sincerity.
[Of course it's them. He's known it pretty much since he saw their name on the list, although he did give it a good hour to think it over.
Sincerity. It's not something he's good at when he talks, but when he writes it's one of his strengths.]

[Someone did not like that answer, uh.]
Meeting my heroes has worked out fine for me before.
[Miyazawa Kenji was considerably younger than he expected, but being praised by him was wonderful, so he's happy there.]
I did say I didn't want to get your hopes up.
[About him choosing anyone Disorder even likes, if he didn't choose Disorder.]
