I am. Yes, I know that I'm putting myself in an unfortunate position, but at the same time, harboring the goodwill of the people could be considered a strategy in and of its own. And more than that, I think it's important for any leader to consider the wants of their people. How could I stand idly by and simply watch, when I had a solution--even if that solution was personally detrimental?
