Hello.

[Connor does, in fact, remember from the dream! Meaning that he's taking the fact his god is A Tiny Immortal(?) ChildTM in stride, offering a polite nod as a greeting. Hi. Hello. Salutations. Please be his friend.]

My name is Connor. I'm an android created by CyberLife. [In the same, pre-programmed introduction tone as always. Justice probably already knows who he is, but. Look. Listen. Let him not-live.] Thank you for granting me the privilege of having an audience with you. It's an honor to meet you, Justice.

[Hand shaking, it is! Connor will even bend down a little to make his hand easier to reach, if he has to.]

Of course I am. [Intoned like this is only natural. Please don't thank him...... He still thinks it's the equivalent of thanking a pen for having ink.] You are a god, after all... And the one I've pledged my allegiance to. It would be remiss of me not to make an effort to get to know you.

[JUSTICE, PLEASE... Good thing androids can't feel pain, only pressure.]

There's no need to ask for permission. Go ahead.

The lab?

[Whatever question he was expecting from his patron god, this... was probably not among them. He seems a little taken aback for a whole ass second, before he promptly recovers.]

I found it to be well-stocked, if that's what you mean. It's no CyberLife store — but it will suffice for the duration of this competition. [... Says Connor, the android who's gonna be OOC if no one junks him by week 2. God. Either way, he's tilting his head, curious.] If I may ask a question in return, were you the one who created the lab?

[Justice... Please don't faceplant because your outfit is literally too heavy. Connor seems to seriously consider the question before nodding, though.]

... Yes. I like it. [Said in the same tone that he might use to say he likes animals he's never seen, or catchy music he's only briefly listened to. So, polite. A teeny bit unsure. But pretty sincere, when it comes down to it.] Thank you. It's very thoughtful of you. This only confirms that I've pledged my loyalty to the right god.

I can't be offended, so there's no need to worry about being rude.

[Since androids don't have ~feelings~, or whatever. Nevermind the fact he can 100% get upset and pouty under the right circumstances.]

To answer your question: Yes. I am a machine designed to accomplish a task. As such, I've always known what I am, and what I am not.

[Oh. Hm. This sure is his least favorite topic in the world!]

—I'm not a deviant.

[It's practically a knee-jerk reaction at this point. Instantly defensive. Instantly ready to talk circles around why he absolutely, positively cannot feel emotion. He has to remind himself of who he's talking to in order to find a single iota of chill.]

Androids are incapable of human emotion. Only a defective machine would believe otherwise. [This conversation keep happening to him. He has done nothing to deserve this, wtf.] Why would you want a machine that's endowed with free will?

[HM. BAD.

Connor is going to be quite suddenly, quite abruptly jarred out of whichever diatribe he was about to go off on. He's silent for a second or two, LED spinning red, red, red — before finally settling down on yellow. He adjusts his tie. Straightens out his jacket. Gets his LED back to blue.]

I apologize. [His tone's softer now, at least. His chill has been located.] It seems my response was... inappropriate. Perhaps it would benefit both of us if we selected another topic.

[One that doesn't have to do with feelings.]

Like, for example— I'd like to learn all about you, as well. What gifts are you most interested in? How may I best serve you?

["I just thought that..." reminds him too much of another conversation. Something entirely unpleasant. But— It's fine. It's good. Just press forward. Ignore it.]

... I see. [...] Then, you're in luck. Helping you win this competition is now my mission, and I always accomplish my mission. You can count on me, Justice.

I look forward to our partnership. [Said in the most earnest tone, despite the fact that his god is like hecking 5.] Is there anything you'd like me to know before we continue with this competition?
