You're trying your best. That's what matters.

... Is that really all that matters? I feel as if our [his] best is not good enough.

I mean, this whole thing has never been about solving the murders, you know.

I'm aware. But as long as people continue killing, solving the murders will continue to be a problem. It's... difficult to focus on the other aspects of this competition as long as that's our reality.

[Especially since he's literally hardcoded to solve crime.]

Some of you have an easier time focusing than others. [he sighs] I get it, murder's a total drag. This whole competition would be much better without it.

...but I do worry about some of you getting hung up on needing to solve everything, and losing sight of the big picture.

Then, what would your recommendation be for those of us who are losing sight of the "big picture"?

This whole thing's about picking someone to be a leader, right? So start evaluating us for leadership qualities.

And that would require more participants to be willing to speak to the gods.
