[For once, Piety isn't in the Private Study. He stands in front of the frozen lake, overlooking the scene that should be calm...but now feels nothing short of morbid in its serenity.]
I can't...I can't give too many details, but in speaking with him, he understood quickly exactly what it was I was hoping for him to do. If you ask him, he may be able to enlighten you further. Suffice to say, I found a loophole...I don't know how long it may be taken advantage of, but at least for just this once, it meant no sacrifices.
That's the idea, yes. He'd already been planning something of his own accord that made me realize how to avoid this, and that's why I was so quick to jump in when I was given the chance. If Cunning had won the vote, I'm not sure it would have worked out as cleanly.
I know you can't tell me what exactly it is, but... If there's anything I can do to make sure it works without understanding exactly what's happening, I would.
I think at this point, there's nothing to do but wait...and have faith. But thank you, I think everyone will feel better if we're all united together in our hope for the best outcome.
WEEK 2 (POST TRIAL)

[She does her best not to sound too bothered, but she does sound curious as she approaches.]

It's not uncomfortable, it's just... weird to think about.
[What was happening here not even a day ago, that is.]
Can I ask more about your plan now that we're in private...?

[They nod slightly.]

[Enough to stay in this, and keep going, at least.]
I believe that everything will work out, no matter how dark it may seem right now.

[A pause.]
Just remember that there are people who are there for you, even if they aren't your followers.
