[Ava enters the armory and a masked figure can be found leaning against a wall of swords, arms folded over their chest. Even so, the quill's pinched between their thumb and their index finger by the stem, twirling the feather back and forth. They turn their head the moment she enters, and though she can't see their face the voice is smooth and low, just a touch curious as they look at her.]

Nah. [The wording is casual and yet there's something about the way Cunning says it that implies maybe there's an underlying...something. Hm.] Can't say I blame you. Place is huge, lots of room, easy to get lost in.

They seem very curious about me. They have many questions. It isn't unexpected.

In most cases, their information inscribed on their statues have proven more interesting than the short conversations I've had with them, though those haven't been unpleasant.

You think the inscriptions are telling the truth? [Cunning sort of sees them as legends, something to think of and possibly fear but not something to be entirely sure of yet.] Some of them have been pretty outrageous. Seems like you're not the only non-mortal we picked up.
We wrote 'em. [Shrug!] So some of them might be more accurate than others.
Can't say we had much of a criteria. As gods, we have free reign to check out the multiverse or whatever. We picked places at random, did a little research, took our chances and contacted you. You're the ones who said yes.

Some of them are kind of jerks. [There's a light laugh then.] It was mostly random selection. There were some people we passed up over others, but do you really think it's that strange? We're not the first immortal beings to contact people through their dreams.
Some research, Ava. Some of us knew what we wanted more than others. Besides, that just makes the play field a little more even across the board.
