This game will be initially operating on invite-only terms. In other words, you must have received an explicit invitation to this game in the form of a link to this interest check from either one of the mods (Britt
bloodthirstiest or Danielle
entrappings). If any slots are still available after our initial selection, we will allow players to recommend specific friends of their own for consideration. If any slots still remain after this point in time, invitations will be extended to anyone on the general friends lists of either of us two mods!

Upon sleeping, your character finds themselves pulled into a dream. At least, it must be a dream, mustn't it? After all, they're asleep. In this dream, they stand in a temple, and before them twelve masked and cloaked figures wait, still as statues. A token rests at each of their feet, and they seem to know what it is they want: they want them to choose. It isn't until the choice has been made and they wake up in another place entirely that they realize it wasn't really a dream at all.
In this game, characters have been summoned by a pantheon of gods from a faraway world to request their help in determining the victor of their contest: which of them shall be the king or queen of their order. Each and every character is promised a boon in exchange for their participation, and it is up to them which god they choose to support...and to that end, which offered reward they consider most coveted. From there they must only decide how far they'll go to help ensure the most lucrative victory.
With that introduction to whet your appetites, here are some highlights to keep in mind:
➹ Characters are being brought into the game on an icly willing basis. This means that you can play them as having accepted their invitation to participate in a contest of the gods unwittingly if you would like, but that they ultimately were not taken by force or without cause. All characters who were selected should want something, for any reason ranging from selfish to selfless, badly enough to be willing to risk it all for the promise of achieving it.
➹ Tentatively there is not any current age limit being enforced for applications. This, of course, will be re-addressed on a case-by-case basis to make sure that, considering the nature of the game, player comfort isn't sacrificed in the spirit of creative freedom. Likewise, characters of any origin, shape, or form may be applied to this game, so long as there's a way that they can be killed. If you're unsure of what you may have in mind, feel free to ask!
➹ Powers will be nerfed upon a character's arrival into the contest's setting, but they'll be allowed to pick a substitute of their choosing among those offered by their host gods.
➹ Character cast caps are set at a whopping seven per canon.
➹ Because the rules of the contest dictate that each god compete equally against one another for as fair a victory as possible, there are no special roles being given out to any character. There is no explicit mafia, rotating or otherwise, and murder will in no way be set in compulsory terms upon any character at any time. Instead, it is in every character's own hands to decide upon their own faction, their own actions, and what is in their own best interest to receive the maximum desired rewards for participation.
➹ Due to the murder being completely voluntary on an ic basis, you can expect that investigations and trials may behave a little differently than average while still following a comfortably standardized format for the murdergame genre. And, of course, being a murdergame, incentives and even explicit bribes may be offered to the characters at various opportunities to motivate them into spilling blood. Ooc, we may be calling for volunteers to keep the game rolling in the case of any slow weeks.
➹ Finally, characters will be assured at the start of the game that any and all deaths will be reversed once a victor has been decided. In other words, all the gods want your characters to worry about is helping them settle their argument once and for all. This is effectively a popularity contest in which the characters ultimately decide, through honest or dishonest means, which god to give the win. Regardless of which ending the game reaches, all characters are assured they will be returned safely home with a gift of participation... but only those supporting the winning god will get the gift they truly seek.
