Some of us who're with the gods with lower numbers have been tossin' around the idea of formin' alliances to better protect ourselves an' our gods to prevent a repeat of what happened to Fortune-han an' Ruin-han. Is that somethin' that's actually gonna work in our favor, or are we all wastin' our time?
[She leans forward so she can rest her translucent elbows on the platform with the offering dish, tapping a nail against her mask's cheek in thought.]
It cooooould be clever, in a couple of ways. It creates a stronger unit of people, and under the right terms, no matter which one of them ends with the most followers, everyone on that alliance will benefit. However...spread an alliance too far or with too much overlap and there might be hurt feelings or declarations of duplicitous intent.
[Patience hums a bit more.]
If the numbers stay spread even, you can easily use that alliance to win. But if just one god outside of it gains a substantial lead...then it's when it starts looking like a long shot.
So far we've been bandin' together the gods with the least amount of followers—Indulgence-han, Beauty-han, Sincerity-han, an' Piety-han. We might try askin' Cunning-han too, but my source tells me he's already got some kind of arrangement goin' on with Piety-han... an' if Cunning-han comes on board, Disorder-han probably would, too.
[ after he rattles off the list of who's who within the pantheon, he takes a moment to pause and reflect on the whole thing. sure, it's starting to err on the side of "too many cooks in the kitchen," but... he never really expected it to take off at all.
maybe... there is some truth to him apparently being a naturally likable and respectable guy. wild. ]
... For an idea I pulled outta my ass just tryin' to make Indulgence-han feel better about me bein' his last follower, this is actually shapin' up to be somethin'. Damn.
[ though, hm, ]
—Wait. That's just talkin' about the gods, right? What about the followers? If, say, Piety-han officially won... would all the followers of all the alliance gods get their wishes, or would it just be Piety-han's?

Well, alliances are just agreements to help each other, really, sooo...I'd guess it would depend on what kind of terms are set? If they agree to it and it's within the rules, anything's possible, right?
[She hesitates, laughing.]
Wouldn't it be funny if everyone was just in one big alliance with one another without even knowing? I wonder how they'd feel about it when they found out?
What? No, that's not what I mean. I just mean, if everyone's secretly in an alliance with everyone else, that would be funny. I'm sure they'd be totally confused!
Oh thank god, I was gettin' ready to start throwin' shit if that's what was goin' on this whole time. I don't need a dramatic-ass plot twist like that in my life!
. . . Thanks for enlightenin' me, Patience-han. [ he bows his head. ] I figure I shouldn't take up any more of your time, unless ya got any last minute words of advice for me.
