Ruin was the one who came up with this being a game where people can be killed. I think her victory should be avoided at all costs.

You'd think "Ruin" would prefer the status quo, too... Evidently enough of these other gods didn't have a problem with that idea. And? What's your plan for winning? Obviously this other world means quite a lot to you...

We were tied, six against six. [Sheba grumbles.] So we asked Patience to break the tie for us, since she was going to be sitting it out.

It surprised me that she supported Ruin's idea... maybe she thought it would be more entertaining to watch, since all she's got to do for the next couple of weeks is wait for it to be over.

I thought about staying out of this out of protest, but... that would make it more likely for someone who supported the killing to win. This might not be Weyard, but I can't allow that for this world.

Even though it's already destroyed. [He's suspicious of about eighty different things now, and that's usually his job so he's not sure how to feel about that.] Hmmm... Are you sure Patience really intends to remain out of all this?

Whoever wins is going to remake it. It won't remain destroyed for wrong. ...besides, we're all bound to this world, too.

[So she has a vested interest in not seeing one of the other gods create a hellish nightmare of a world. She's stuck here.]

...I can't say it was never on her mind. She's no Adept, but... her mind is veiled. [She absolutely attempted to use Mind Read on her. On all of the gods, actually.] So I haven't been able to confirm it, one way or another. I'd like to think she was being honest, though.

[He's quiet for a moment. There's a lot to take in, both the direct and indirect. And on that note, it certainly hasn't escaped him that she's being oddly vague for her at points.]

Yes, bound. Our fates were tied to this world when we became gods.

[If Sheba had known that part before ascending, she probably would have tried to sabotage it somehow. But she didn't, and now she's stuck here, so she has to make the best of it.]

...I think this week has presented me with more opportunities than I had before. It's made people who wouldn't otherwise speak to me feel sorry for me. Some of them... are already considering joining me. [She fiddles with her cloak as she speaks. It feels manipulative, which she doesn't like - but finding the silver linings in this situation is how she's going to get through it.] And it's allowed me to demonstrate that I'm not the sort of god who's going to punish everyone simply because I'm having a bad day. The group has incredibly unfavorable impressions of many of the gods. Spending time with them, playing games with them... in my case, at least, it's helped to reverse that.

I won't say I haven't enjoyed it, because I have. Many of them are kinder than I realized, and I'm grateful to have learned that. But I think it's laid the groundwork to make a comeback. I think... they're beginning to see me as one of them, since I've been vulnerable this week. It will make it easier for them to relate to me, and support me in the end.

Then perhaps I can realign my allegiance once again, as well. [He just has to give you this look to get the "if there's something else in it for me" part, right?] Now, I have to assume from your comment about Patience's mind that you have access to your Psynergy?

Not by you. None of the participants can use powers from their own worlds, even if they're worlds that we gods come from.

It's not happening, Alex. You'll just have to figure out how to play this game without using Psynergy like everyone else.

I'm figuring out how to win this game. And if you're serious about doing so, you might to consider the sorts of contributions that could be made to your team.

I've been working on it. It's a little easier said than done, since someone decided to leave me with no followers. Pity from the rest of the group will only take me so far.

And that certainly wouldn't be the case for me. Therefore, I also have to question joining a likely weakened side at more of a disadvantage.
