What do they do there? [Just turning it over in their hand. It doesn't matter if it's useless, but they're intrigued to learn about other worlds all the same.] An energy source?

Exactly. A typical Adept can drain their Psynergy quickly and restore it slowly on their own. These instantly replete it.

[And that's one of the most beautiful things ever in his opinion.]

A boost then. [Very interesting...] I imagine these are in high demand and not as readily available as they are in the current wing?

[psynergy]

If you're not near the source, no. And stones such as these typically shatter after being used once. But then Adepts aren't all that common, either.

And what precisely is an Adept? A witch of some sort?

[psynergy]

Not quite. [Even though that's the name of one of Jenna's classes and the witch doctors in one town use Psynergy.] Adepts are those with the ability to control the elements with their minds.

Fascinating...and how does one become an Adept? You've said they aren't common, but is it only by birth?

[psynergy]

Essentially, yes. They can be passed down or granted to one due to the strong influence of a particular element in the area. But it's still always possible from birth in those cases.

[Then there's the people who had dormant abilities that got awakened by Psynergy Stones falling on their heads, but technically that's still from birth.]

How strange. There wasn't such an influence anywhere in my old life, but it doesn't sound too unlikely.

[But with that out of the way, the stone's set on a table and Beauty's hands are folded into his lap.]

How many I help you today, Alex-kun?

I was curious about you actually, seeing as we haven't met before now. I thought it would be irresponsible to continue making decisions for this group without more complete knowledge of it.

[divus]

You're correct about that. Several of you have come to that same conclusion and it's why it's wise of all of us to accept these audiences.

Though I must ask...what decisions have you already made based on that?

[psynergy]

Not many, honestly. My previous choices have tended to regard numbers and the potential of their powers as opposed to who you are. I have a feeling that won't be viable much longer, though.

[He would've made a "who" choice once he realized who Fortune was but oops, already dead.]

Our powers don't exactly match our ideals, if you really want to know. It's better to learn how we would ever use our powers rather than rely on what's written out there. The statues aren't entirely accurate either, are they?

[psynergy]

I was presuming as much by now, yes. Were your powers then not of your own choosing?

[divus]

They were crafted in a way that we knew what they would be, but there are several uses for what we can do with them. It's all a matter of creativity.

[psynergy]

Of course. It's not much of a "game" without that. I was actually curious about what you represent as a god, however.

...how exactly do you mean? [Alex that question can be taken a few different ways. As in what do we, as gods, represent as a whole or what my specific virtue is meant to represent?

[psynergy]

[He's super vague most of the time, sorry.]

I meant I wondered if your "virtues" were selected by your lot or if they were intended to suit you.

I believe it was the latter, seeing how most of us would agree that our names and selected virtues suit us even if it's not the most traditional sense of the word.
