[he sure can! it's a big, walk-in closet. it contains a few sets of robes in the same style that Ambition usually wears, along with a wide array of dresses, blouses, and pants. there's a set of drawers set into the far wall of the closet, too - they're all shut - and a rack of shoes.]

[If the protags can do it, he can too. What's in the drawers?]

[jewelry, mainly! there is also a wooden hexagonal box - small enough to fit in the palm of a hand - with red symbols on the lid that alex won't recognize in here.]

SO he can change his mind and turn around. People do that. He...probably has at some point, too. He's still a little leery about messing with the bed, he'd notice if his pillows were out of order. So yeah, let's go back into the closet, open that drawer and pick up the box.]
