Prolonging a sense of mystery, then. Fair enough, though you'd think that in a competition to determine the best or most suited of you, cards like that would be on the table sooner...
[ ... ]
So then. What made you, specifically, extend an offer to me of all people anyway?

Hmm. Who says you need to be of help to me? Maybe I just wanted to talk. There is a rule about that this week, isn't there?
[ ... his tone is just a few shades shy of completely dismissive and aloof, which means it's just recognizable as almost playful instead.
he chuckles a little after, warmly. ]
No, I didn't necessarily need anything in specific, but if you must ask: after that display this weekend... I wondered a little about it before, but now really have to wonder. Does an individual have to have a certain streak of self-sacrifice in them for you to make your initial offer to them, at the beginning of the game?
[ because really. really. ]

Present company included, right?
[ it's still good-natured, despite what he says. also i forgot to mention it in the offering post itself, but the song this time was definitely one of ishi's. ]
Unshakable conviction though, is it. [ ... a very quiet, wry, and almost self-deprecatory laugh. is that what people think? regardless- ] I suppose if you want to win, looking for such a quality in your followers would be a rather apt approach to it. The dedicated and strong of will are that much less likely to be of fickle loyalties, after all.
[ the words are rather cynical, but his tone isn't in the least critical. his head does tilt though, a slight bit toward the end. speaking of switching sides- ]
That loophole you managed to employ, this last weekend. It was an admirable act, but are either of you likely to face repercussion or further scrutiny from it?

That's what I was afraid of, but I suppose we have been getting off fairly lightly, these trials. It'd only make sense that whatever the rules are, they'll start being enforced more strictly, and in the proper spirit. These things can't always be that easy, after all...
[ not to say that possibly sending an innocent off to die was easy, per se, but they'd been willing, and it was better than the alternative.
he huffs a brief, wry breath. ]
You really were telling the truth at the trial when you said you weren't giving up, huh. It might not mean much coming from me, all things considered, but there are still things such as senseless self-sacrifice.
...Anyway. I might not be aligned with you, but I can't say I bear you any ill will- even in the spirit of this competition.

[ What's up, this is a PERSONAL friendly visit this time and I can take it easy bc I'm dead now. ]
So, you, Disorder, and Ambition, huh? You've already told me you got on, but admittedly, that's kind of adorable.
[ He sounds it, too- his tone is pretty damn amused, if warm. ]
Did you know she actually sent one of hers to try to convince me to her side?

Here's hoping, huh.
[ I say, in a backtag, when we all know he's deda. ]
... You say that, by the way, but what about yourself? Fortune is vulnerable this week, she's said, and she has a statue in the courtyard now too. Is it expected that the gods take part in this as competitors too?
[ 'Will you all be all right,' in not as many words. ]

... Six weeks of debate and discussion, huh. I suppose that'd be a little closer to the vacation Patience suggested we think of this as. And here I thought it would be petty or presumptuous to call the gods down too often over trivial things and small talk.
[ It's a little wry, but not reproachful or pointed. They knew what they were signing up for, after all, though- maybe not quite as much the socializing part, since he's kept more of a distance from the gods than some others. ]
What would your ideal world be, if I may ask? What does your vision of a perfect world look like?

Huh. ... It sounds a bit possibly dehumanizing, but I wonder if that wasn't the intention in the first place.
Are they traits that were important to each of you, somehow, or do you think they might have been closer to things that you embodied?

Well. Glad to hear I apparently made an impression. Though admittedly, drawing straws isn't quite the methodology I might have expected out of an apparent godly pantheon.
Here's hoping you don't end up too disappointed, then.
[ i say, despite gestures at w3 ]
Anyway. I did ask what you liked, so care to answer that? Not flowers, so that's been filed away, and though I know Patience said we technically can summon our patron simply by praying, it still seems sort of rude to not treat you with the same amount of respect as the others.

That's fine- I wouldn't want to get into the habit of expecting special treatment or exceptions anyway, especially in a competition like this one.
[ ... a thought comes to mind- namely, Fortune being cut off mid sentence the other day.
Idly: ]
You all seem to be under a surprising amount of restrictions for being the ones who created this game. Some of them look almost unexpected, I think, but I wouldn't really know enough to be sure of it...?

[ The answer about Sincerity actually pulls a wry, sympathetic twist of his expression out of him. In fact he is making a face. So yeah, fake people. ]
That makes the two of us, then. About that sort of person, I mean, because as of yet I haven't had the chance to call down Sincerity for a chat.
[ Wryly: ]
Guess that means I'll be in for a pleasant time if that's the case. Ah, but speaking of powers, though, do those reflect your own abilities as individuals, or are they more of a themed sort of set?
