[When Julius enters the armory, he'll find that Cunning lingers against a wall of swords, holding the flowers in their hands. They seem to be looking at them curiously but as Julius enters they look up.]
Cool find. I've only seen this color a couple of times. [They hold up a bloom that can only be described as an electric blue.] Low on options?
In a manner of speaking. I don't quite know your preferences yet, for one, and I would rather avoid breaking our new rule so soon on a guess. Admittedly I know next to nothing myself about the various kinds, but I've heard that they used to have specific meanings.
[ Julius is probably eyeing them in the same way they were looking at the swords earlier. No hostility, and his tone is as warm and mild as ever, but his bearing is definitely cautious and guarded to an extent. ]
[Great, did they get stuck with a nerd? They kind of got stuck with a nerd but maybe that's fine...]
Between you and me? Not really a flower kind of guy but I like the color. [There's a hint of a pleased tone.] I might've known the meanings a long time ago but I can't remember now.
[They seem comfortable against their swords though, weirdly, as if the armory is really a second home.] About time you tore yourself away from the nerd lab though. Keeping busy?
closes eyes, it absolutely is, do you know how many university aus make him like. a physics prof
[ You got stuck with a nerd, Cunning, but at least it's a buff nerd. You could have had Newt instead?? ]
I'll keep that in mind, if only so I can avoid embarrassing myself in the future.
And hey, about the nerd lab- better than sitting back on my hands and doing nothing, don't you think? For all we know it might be useful, considering the spread of people you've all collected.
[ Not all of which seem to be human, so. ]
In any case, that does mean you've been keeping an eye on us to some extent. How much do you know about what's going on at any given time, anyway?
[Bowl or no bowl, it seems that Julius' offering was effective enough that when he arrives at the study, Piety is waiting for him in a seat by the fire.]
Please, won't you join me? That was a lovely hymn you left for me.
[ He hums just a little before he responds, settling carefully down in one of the other seats there. ]
It's an old family song-- been passed down as long as I can remember.
[ and he's glad Piety also doesn't seem too offended by his not taking their offer first back during app acceptance the dream??? ]
Supposedly it's supposed to carry one's feelings of yearning to see someone to that person. I'd hoped it was appropriate. I'm glad to hear that you liked it.
In that case, I feel all the more honored to have been able to hear it.
[It's fine Piety understands that their name is Not Appealing.]
Thank you for reaching out to me. I'm always glad for a chance to speak with each of you--and I'm sure you must have many questions for me. I'm happy to answer as much as I can.
[Julius will find fortune just past the entrance to the east wing. They're staring up at the city lights as he passes through the entryway, the flowers from his offering in one hand.]
I did, yes. Glad you could spare the time. I had a few other ideas of what to give, but I wasn't inclined on stepping over any lines so soon in the game.
[ what do people have against take out or just grabbing some cards for entertainment on the go, smh
in any case, he notices where their gaze is angled- at least generally, anyway, given the mask and all. his head tilts a little, hand coming to his chin in slight curiosity. ]
I'm doing my best to ensure your brother will be okay. [To the first part. It's complicated at best and a little haphazard at worst.]
...I can't say I'm happy with Itachi-san's choice. Or his choice in target. I don't want anyone else to die for his mistakes, so that's why I'm trying to fix this now.
[Cunning's in the armory again, but this time they're in the middle of the open arena with a sword in hand, seemingly getting some practice in. There's a follow-up strike to an invisible target even when they speak.]
[ True to his word he doesn't look like he's actually stressing over the Strung Red overmuch. He's made his appeals and attempts, and it isn't as if he's keen on going out this early, but really if it's up to the gods it's up to the gods, no point in working himself up into a fuss over it.
Hm. In any case, he opts to watch Cunning's form for a brief moment before he continues. ]
Call me curious. I've been a bit neglectful of actually, properly, gathering information during my stay here so far, so I might as well start making up for it in the case that I survive tomorrow. How well do you get along with the other gods here?
[ He's heard some comments during the trial that basically are just 'whatmakesyougohmm.mp3'. In retrospect it should be obvious the Gods would have opinions on each other beyond falsified or magnanimous neutrality, but. ]
Yeah, I figured the cat was occupying a lot of your time. [Just. Saying. There's another swing, quickly switching hands. If Julius is watching, he'll notice that it's the signs of someone who's actively fought with a sword for several years.]
Good approach though. [Only worrying as much as anyone thinks he should be. They're aware they're answering things out of order but there's another strike to another invisible target.] And that depends on which gods we're talking about. Some are easier to get along with than others just like anybody else. There's a reason we couldn't all agree on a nice, happy ending.
Hmm. Who says you need to be of help to me? Maybe I just wanted to talk. There is a rule about that this week, isn't there?
[ ... his tone is just a few shades shy of completely dismissive and aloof, which means it's just recognizable as almost playful instead.
he chuckles a little after, warmly. ]
No, I didn't necessarily need anything in specific, but if you must ask: after that display this weekend... I wondered a little about it before, but now really have to wonder. Does an individual have to have a certain streak of self-sacrifice in them for you to make your initial offer to them, at the beginning of the game?
That's very true. I suppose I just assume I'm easier to approach by necessity over pleasure.
[Those self-sacrifical types.]
Actually, I approached those who I felt had an unshakable conviction. It just happened that I also found those who possess that kind of spirit, as well. At least, those were the ones that accepted my offer. Many of them went with other avenues.
[Well. He's not going to have to go far before Ruin appears - he blinks, and then when he opens his eyes again she's standing in front of him on the other side of the offering bowl.
Week 1, Tuesday

Hopefully none of these are too insulting.

That one's yours, isn't it? Funny thing to keep in mind, if we're supposed to be in competition with each other.

Kresnik-san. You want to ask me to remove your curse, right?

If you would be so kind, though I know that it's not necessarily that simple. I'd also sort of wanted to ask, though it's not incredibly crucial:
How are you feeling? About all of this, I mean.

That might possibly have been the quickest turnaround time I've seen from one of you yet, outside of speaking with one of you directly.
Not one to leave someone hanging, are you?
WEEK 3, THURSDAY
What is it? [Curious, but not quite intrigued yet.]

So, you, Disorder, and Ambition, huh? You've already told me you got on, but admittedly, that's kind of adorable.
[ He sounds it, too- his tone is pretty damn amused, if warm. ]
