I'm doing my best to ensure your brother will be okay. [To the first part. It's complicated at best and a little haphazard at worst.]
...I can't say I'm happy with Itachi-san's choice. Or his choice in target. I don't want anyone else to die for his mistakes, so that's why I'm trying to fix this now.
Then I'm glad of that much, at least, and will thank you for it even if things don't work out in the end.
[ He sounds sincere, in any case. He does tilt his head a little, hmming quietly at Love's further response. His tone is almost a little apologetic after he's done thinking over their response. ]
We haven't spoken before, but others have said of you that you would rather avoid resorting to the more extreme methods of this game. And I've heard that the initial proposal was simply for more of a poll, so to speak.
There's a fair amount of people vouching for the integrity of at least most of the suspected Gods, and while I'm aware all we have to go off of is your word, filtered through theirs... If that many of you were truly so pacifistic, how did things manage to go from the original pitch to, well, this?
[ There's ones like Ruin and Disorder, apparently, but they seem a little outnumbered? ]
I don't really know who you've been talking to, but I guess they're not wrong.
[That's a great question though and maybe not one Love knows how to answer.]

[So. Even when they outnumbered, members who're on team lets-kill still got a say in things.]
No one in specific-- it's simply things I overheard during the trial. If not actual followers, then you might have made yourself a few friends here and there.
[ it's not condescending or negative, just a mild assessment. his brow furrows just a little in sympathy as they go on, though. ]
That sounds ... fairly complicated, I'm sorry. And I suppose I should apologize also, for making this situation that bit more complicated for you. [ what with the strung red, and all. ] Will you face repercussion if you do indeed manage to remove the curse?
You'd be surprised how quickly people bond even in a game like this. [But it's a light comment before they move on.]
...it's alright. This was my followers' doing, so there's really no reason to apologize. It's why I can do this one time. I won't be under scrutiny or whatever, but anything after this? It'll be a lot harder to justify. You'll unfortunately be on your own after this.
That's fine- I wouldn't want to get into the habit of expecting special treatment or exceptions anyway, especially in a competition like this one.
[ ... a thought comes to mind- namely, Fortune being cut off mid sentence the other day.

You all seem to be under a surprising amount of restrictions for being the ones who created this game. Some of them look almost unexpected, I think, but I wouldn't really know enough to be sure of it...?
