Seven of us. We're numbered, zero to six. Iron Frill was five girls, so it's not much different... well, is five girls. All the girls I knew have graduated, though. It's a whole new lineup now.

Forgive me, I don't know as much about idols as I'd like. But may I ask why you stayed with a group rather than trying to branch out on your own? Is it that much harder?

Solo idols are kind of passé nowadays, at least that's what marketing says. With a group, there's always someone a fan likes best or wants to support the most. Idols these days sell their personality as much as their music, and fans feel close to the ones they like and want to help them achieve their dreams. It's that kind of thing.

That sounds very familiar, actually. [That's terrifying, but anyway.] If you do win, would you continue with music? Or with the freedom you'd receive would you try for something else?

[You know. Coming back to life and all that. Beauty's never met an actual zombie before, so this is a very intriguing line of thought.]

I don't know what else I'd do. This is what I dedicated my life to. And my unlife, as stupid as it is. But I just want to be able to live again without having to be afraid that someone's going to see and then bring a mob with torches down on the mansion. My family, my group members, everyone who remembered me only for how I died in front of thousands of people -- if you can all do anything, I had to go for it. That's why.

I can see why Merriment took interest in you. [There's another assessing look.] And you should receive the opportunity to live again...a life taken so short is hardly fair.

What about the rest of the girls?

[What about them? She blinks and thinks for a second.]

Some of them are more into this than others, but I think they're all dedicated in their own way. The problem is when some of them just want to stay relics of the past they came from.

And you wish to be more than the confines you're currently stuck in. [There's a nod.]

...I believe I could help you with that. It aligns very much with how I want to create the new world.

You mean, with all the life stuff?

The life stuff and helping you reach a goal you thought would be impossible to reach. That's what the new world would be.

I'm surprised you're not the one called Ambition, in that case.

I suppose I don't value ambition as much as I do life experiences. That doesn't mean I'll be inactive in my approach.

I think I see why Senri-kun really wants to help you.

Senri-kun is very nice and very dedicated...he visits a lot which is always fun. [It's hard to ignore the fond tone.] He helped grant a wish for me, so it's my turn to ensure other wishes can be granted for him and the rest of you.

Even all of you have wishes?

I can't speak for everyone else, but I can speak for myself. My wishes are rather simple, but hard to grant all the same.

I guess so. It's why we have to work hard to work with other people, after all.

It's on my list. Why, did you talk to all your followers?

Not yet, though I assume there's a reason for that. I'll be reaching out soon, though I can't force anyone to see me.

I suppose it's hard when it's not your week.

Not to mention a week when someone sets a rule about not taking anything out of the rooms. Several of you aren't inclined to just try a prayer or offerings from elsewhere. I suppose some followers may think that's a good excuse.

Not all of them are us, you know.
