[He ducks low enough to get them both in, turns around and settles Justice down in the seat inside the bucket. For now, he stays standing, leaned out of the way of the window but looking out of it himself, using his arm as a brace against the interior.]
[senri will hold back a step - but just so that he can get his phone out of his pocket to take a picture of this... it's fucking cute, binch.... he loves it. but he'll follow in after, laughing a little bit as he goes]

[It's too fucking true--almost immediately, Justice is moving around in his seat so he's on his knees and peering over the edge, seeming amazed even as they've barely started moving.]

[His eyes narrow at Senri, and the entire conversation they are about to have is going to be silent and through looks alone, but Justice distracts him after a few moments. He follows the gaze back out of the windows, sliding a hand in his pocket.]

So he kind if just... lets Senri mediate while he turns his head away again as if it isn’t a spectacle. He watches the two of them in the reflection of the window though, rather than pay attention to anything else.]
[ . . . meanwhile senri is entirely okay with that. he offers up a smile easily, gently squeezing justice's shoulder before pulling back a little bit. he tilts his head, whole-heartedly encouraging as he waits. for now, he'll let justice have all of his attention.]
[Justice takes a deep breath. At first, his hands tighten on the railing of the ferris wheel, but then they relax as he forces himself to over come his nerves. It takes him a few moments to untangle himself from his robes--and with the way he has the fabric swaddling his head, it's necessary to take everything off that covers him. By the time the mask comes off, as well, it's obvious why.]
Slowly, Sasuke looks back around, first st Senri and then at the artist formerly known as Justice. It’s not the strangest thing he has seen by far, but it’s still wild to see a god unveiled. At least Sasuke doesn’t appear to mind very much.]

[He can't help sounding dubious. It's not a term that he's really used to applying to himself, or others applying to himself. But it's so nice, still, not to feel like he's being looked at like a freak or a monster. So, Sean nods.]
...yeah. It feels...so much nicer just to be myself. I want to just be who I am from now on, even if I don't know...exactly who that person is, yet.
[For once in his shitty weeks here, Sasuke has the softest frown. He thought he knew who he was and who he was going to be, but after coming here... he isn’t so sure he knows either.
Again, he glances at Senri, actually glad for once the stupid tangerine is here? He doesn’t know how to act around younger kids... He’s the otouto, not the niisan.]

[He looks back out the window, not sounding at all mad.]
[ . . . and senri will just let his chin rest on the baby's shoulder as he looks over at sasuke. he tells sean first, in a conspiratorial stage whisper:] I think Sasuke's feeling left out. I'm gonna tell him.

Sean and I played a lot of pretend, because we don't know a lot of anything that's real. We want to play with everyone a lot, and reach out to the people who are nice to us, so that we can all be a family together. But...
[senri glances down at sean and offers a soft smile.]
We're figuring it out. We promised that we'll learn how to be more genuine, so that we don't need to hide or fake for everyone else. Even if it means we have to figure out who we are, step by step. We'll do it together.
[and he glances back up to sasuke, tilting his head]

[Sean looks at Senri as he speaks, and then turns around so he can face Sasuke directly. He tries to be brave, and not to stammer, at least not so much.]
Even...even if it's only for right now, for a couple of weeks, if you'll be a part of my new family, Sasuke, I'd be really happy. I'd be so grateful.
[Sasuke’s dark, mismatched eyes shift to look away from their reflection in the window. He isn’t angry. There’s a very worried, cautious, uncertain heaviness to his expression.
It isn’t that he wanted to ever pretend to be the bad guy for the sake of being bad, because he enjoyed it. Really, he cared too much—about his friends, his new family. He cared so much that he was afraid they would die solely from being close to him. And he was afraid of being weak, too. Not strong enough to protect them, not strong enough to end Itachi with his vengeance.
He chose his goal over being happy. And... he was doing it again, wasn’t he? For the sake of the ninja world.
Finally, he turns to face the other two, and he closes the short distance between himself and Sean. The walk and the expression is much like the looming intimiation he had before. He stops in front of Sean and peers down, eyes searching the helmet. A hand lifts.
He taps two fingers against the middle of Sean’s “forehead.”]
[ . . . . despite everything, Senri isn't worried. when Sean asks Sasuke to join their little ragtag family of two, he's not scared at all of what the answer might be. he settles for continuing to hold onto Sean from behind, hugging him close even as Sasuke approaches and -
he's so familiar with this little gesture by now. the little two finger tap, and it makes a smile bloom across Senri's face. his eyes flick up to Sasuke's and the expression he wears is a grateful one. then he glances back to Sean - ]
... looks like our family just got a little bigger.
[and senri's heart aches in his chest at the thought - it's warm, and sweet, and a little painful, and it cuts through the cold for at least this little moment.]
[Completely unintentionally, Sean's shoulders stiffen as Sasuke approaches so quietly, but then, as his fingers hit the center of his helmet, between the unblinking grates-for-eyes, he lets out a relieved, happy laugh. Even with an expression that's just as devoid of emotion as his mask, it's clear that he must be smiling.]
I'll keep waiting until then--we both will, won't we, Senri? It's hard to wait when I feel so happy and excited, but I can do it without complaining.
