[This really does seem like it would take...a lot of work to set up. But, um, they're here, and Piety doesn't complain as he starts reading all of the instructions.]
I...suppose I'll draw the map while you all decide on that. I'm sorry if it's a little basic.
[He reaches for the fold out map and a set of markers as he flips between the story and the setup.]
Let me know when everyone's ready...I think I understand how we're starting?
[Piety is a fast learner! He re-caps the marker he was using to draw a basic map of what appears to be the inside of an inn, and gets himself a plain set of pale green dice.]
[Behind her mask, Ambition is probably rolling her eyes, but she glances at Ludger and wisely chooses to keep quiet. She's ... kind of learning to play nice.]
You're on a journey through a monster-infested land. To get to your destination, you need to pass through a forest that lays just beyond a frozen tundra, but can only do so with the permission and guidance of the race of creature that rules over the area. There's an inn just ahead of you, before the forest, so you'll be stopping there for the night for more information on how to continue on.
[Piety hums.]
I'll let you decide. It seems you can either already be an established party, or you can find a reason to gather within the inn separately and continue on together.
[he waves his hand, like he didn't have a damn manservant for his adventures.]
Because a real queen doesn't need one, duh! She can provide for herself! Her strength comes from within, not from a bunch of people doing work for her.
[in this case, at least, he's relying on Natalia for his opinions.]
Cylia is already at the inn when the rest of you arrive! She's eating some stew.
[Fortune pipes up, spooning up some of Ludger's stew and nudging her mask up just enough that she can eat some without pulling her mask all the way off ... which is stupid, they've already seen her face, but whatever.]

I guess so. [ ... ] Can I be a merchant?
[ at least he can avoid debt in fantasy land. ]

What kind of character is the strongest? Warrior, right? Whichever one has swords.

I'm going to be a Bard. You can be a merchant if you want to, Ludger.
[Why a bard... oh well. She glances over at Fortune, who scoots over to look at the book over Luke's shoulder, then shrugs. Whatever, it's fine.]
