...if we catch them, others will still know it was possible. Even if there's only one now, this may create more-- we hoped there wouldn't be others willing to kill fellow participants as well, and we see how that has gone.
[a shake of his head, there.]
All we can do is try to protect them if they become vulnerable. I'm unsure that we could actually manage to boost the numbers of anyone dangerously low, much as I hate to say so... even if people are willing, if we kept pulling from gods with more followers to save those with few to none, wouldn't creating a more even spread make it harder to reach a majority in the end? Not to mention that defecting from another god without many followers to save another just creates more risk, if none are willing to leave one that has a stronger following.
[He points at Ishikirimaru then.] That. That right there is what I'm thinking about. Now that the possibility's out there, if someone wants to try to end the game early...they know it's a route they can take.
The numbers are going to be imbalanced at the end, and the thing is...aligning with a god you don't believe in just to save them isn't exactly the best idea either. You can protect them, I'm not saying you shouldn't...but I want you to think about it before you do it. Those are all great points.
I don't want to see any of us die after this, but I don't want to see something false come into play either.
... well, even if you switch alignments to protect someone else with a low number, we don't actually know what the follower count is until after defection day. You switching could be enough to send the person you were with down to zero, since you don't know if other people might switch too.
I don't intend to try to protect any by aligning myself with them. Besides not being a safe enough strategy-- I would prefer not to leave just for that.
If anyone else is left without followers, I think it'll be better to try to stay with them on Thursday night, if they'll let us.
You two are good options to protect any of the gods who drop to zero. [...] But I want to be honest. There's another one of you who has the same ability you two do. They're just not using it.
If you can find them and convince them to help, maybe that'd work out, too.
Well, I can tell you they're not using it for anything as important as what you two are doing. [Is he...annoyed? A little.] I'd speak to them myself but they've never come to see me.
You guys might have better luck if you can find them.
... I don't understand why anyone would align with one of you without actually speaking to you, either.
[this is absolutely not how you respect gods and if they find this person they're having a gentle but firm talk tbh]
Perhaps next week will make them easier to find-- if they have not even come to you, I doubt they'd go through the effort it would take to confirm their allegiance, if we did locate them.
The same reason their priorities align more with their goals at home instead of the goals here? That's all I can guess. I'd talk to them myself but...[A glance at Taka.] It's not exactly like I trust them to take all of this very well.
Here's what we could do though. If you two puzzle it out and come to me for a confirmation, maybe I can do that. Or, at least, point you in the right direction. I can tell you right now they spend more time in another god's area instead of mine.
We can start by just marking off people whose alignments we already know and go for there. With our luck it's probably someone we've never spoken to, so... guess we gotta network like assholes.

If we find them, do you think we'd actually have a chance at convincing them?
