It wasn't quite how I anticipated it, either, but-- it is appreciated, regardless. [A pause, because okay, he can't not say it:] You look younger than I expected, considering, but I suppose I have no room to talk there.
[Also, for the record, Ishikirimaru has a blanket wrapped around his shoulders now thanks to his dumb kids. But he breathes out a sigh there as he takes a seat beside Taka, shaking his head.]
..."a night" is certainly a way to put it. It seems this will still be difficult, even with two of us.

[ sometimes.... your own god's powers is used against you and you're stuck in a million sweaters. it's fine.
he glances at the window though, not quite able to look jack in the eye. ]
I went to the east wing. I saw someone, uh, fall.

[ishi nods at that, a touch of regret in his expression; they shouldn't have been split up, but at least now he knows about taka's horrible luck in location choices.]
While I didn't actually see anything happen in the west wing-- two of the other gods left what I've been told was Fortune's house, and I was informed two of us should have been there as well. Nothing seemed amiss at the time, but... that hardly means that I didn't miss something.
[especially with, you know, the potential that some people could be invisible around here.]

[he nods in response, though he also reaches over to give taka's hand a brief, reassuring little squeeze now that he doesn't have to be concerned with whether he's contagious yet or not. taka didn't deserve this 2k19.]
Yes. According to Luke, he and the younger of the Kresniks meant to try to keep Fortune company before curfew fell, and I assume invited them along-- he didn't seem certain the two of them would be there.

I'll be speaking with-- Piety, later. I intend to talk to Luke as well, to make sure they were there overnight; I have no reason to believe he'll mislead me, at least not intentionally.
[but the mention of ludger gets him to glance down, head slightly bowed.]
--you're likely right about Ludger, though. Whether he was involved or not, I... do not think it's the time.

[sometimes you have to make sure you're using the right name, okay!]
I knew Ludger's brother better than I do him, but- I think Luke is trustworthy enough, from what I know of him so far. We have something of an agreement, and if nothing else... I hope he'd at least be smarter than to tell me he'd be there if he meant to act.
[he's not elaborating on the agreement part, though.]
...it's possible they weren't the only ones, or that I simply wasn't able to see anyone else. Perhaps I was also there at the wrong time.
[or maybe she left and he failed to notice. he would really prefer not to think of either of them being involved.]

Senri already knows I'm with you, so he's safe to tell.
... but even without Fortune's rule, I'm not sure how we'd be able to tell everyone without us having to switch our alignment after. It's kind of a dangerous power for other people to find out you have.

[that gets a nod of agreement from ishi, as he adds-]
I have someone who's already aware of mine, as well.
[can't reveal anything if they already know, after all.]
I don't think that we can outright tell anyone beyond the couple of people we've just mentioned, to keep ourselves safe... but that will at least be four people instead of two who have that information. Then we're no longer the only ones who can use it, without putting ourselves at too much risk.
If what we know becomes relevant, rather than outright saying so, then we help lead others to the right conclusions. Ask the appropriate questions, and so forth.

Interesting is... a word for it.
[ishi hates the trials, what else is new, honestly.
but he's quiet for a moment there, brow furrowed.]
I'd considered the possibility before. She's the one I spoke of it with in the first week, actually. But... I hoped that it wouldn't actually end up coming to this.
[maybe he should have offered to stay with her, been there just in case.]

...next time, I'm not leaving you to go off on your own.
[while we, ooc, sweat over picking a single area to be wrong in.]
And if anyone falls to zero again, we should stay with them, now that we're aware this may be a problem.
