...next time, I'm not leaving you to go off on your own.

[while we, ooc, sweat over picking a single area to be wrong in.]

And if anyone falls to zero again, we should stay with them, now that we're aware this may be a problem.

[ taka cannot believe he needs a babysitter because he keeps watching people get murdered ]

... the trouble is that we can't switch til the end of the week. If we're lucky, the only person who's into the god killing thing is whoever did it this time, so if we catch them...

...if we catch them, others will still know it was possible. Even if there's only one now, this may create more-- we hoped there wouldn't be others willing to kill fellow participants as well, and we see how that has gone.

[a shake of his head, there.]

All we can do is try to protect them if they become vulnerable. I'm unsure that we could actually manage to boost the numbers of anyone dangerously low, much as I hate to say so... even if people are willing, if we kept pulling from gods with more followers to save those with few to none, wouldn't creating a more even spread make it harder to reach a majority in the end? Not to mention that defecting from another god without many followers to save another just creates more risk, if none are willing to leave one that has a stronger following.

... well, even if you switch alignments to protect someone else with a low number, we don't actually know what the follower count is until after defection day. You switching could be enough to send the person you were with down to zero, since you don't know if other people might switch too.

[ ... ]

We'll be careful.

[ishi nods in agreement, adding:]

I don't intend to try to protect any by aligning myself with them. Besides not being a safe enough strategy-- I would prefer not to leave just for that.

If anyone else is left without followers, I think it'll be better to try to stay with them on Thursday night, if they'll let us.

[ WHY ]

If we find them, do you think we'd actually have a chance at convincing them?

We will have to try, in any case. If they do use it, and we haven't managed to make contact-- it could be a quite unfortunate meeting.

Is it really that hard just to walk to the damn altar room...?

[ IT'S RIGHT THERE ]

... we'll see what we can do.

... I don't understand why anyone would align with one of you without actually speaking to you, either.

[this is absolutely not how you respect gods and if they find this person they're having a gentle but firm talk tbh]

Perhaps next week will make them easier to find-- if they have not even come to you, I doubt they'd go through the effort it would take to confirm their allegiance, if we did locate them.

... right.

[ he's quiet for a moment, thinking. ]

We can start by just marking off people whose alignments we already know and go for there. With our luck it's probably someone we've never spoken to, so... guess we gotta network like assholes.
