[When Sieg enters the parlor, he'll find that a table's been set for two with snacks, cups of tea, and the slice of cake serves as a centerpiece. There's at least one bite gone though. In a highback chair sits Beauty with their head turned toward the door, waiting for Sieg, it seems. As he approaches, Beauty holds out a hand in welcome.]

Hello, Sieg-kun. Welcome.

[This is much fancier than most of his meetings with the other gods. He offers a small smile as he walks into the room and waves back.]

Hello, it's nice to meet you.

You as well. The cake's delicious, but I thought it'd be polite to return the favor. Please have a seat. [A gesture to the empty chair and also the spread of little snacks and the like.]

I'm glad you liked it. I wasn't sure what kind of things you all liked.

[He was a little worried that Beauty wasn't as fond since it's still in existence.

But he'll take the seat he's offered.]

Anything that a contestant offers out of the goodness of their heart is appreciated. I like knowing what sort of things matter to you.

[Beauty's a people-person. Once Sieg is seated, Beauty leans forward to get a better look.] It's very nice to meet you. I haven't had the chance to get to know everyone yet, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Food is important and matters for most people, I think.

[Sieg doesn't pull away or anything, bright red eyes and silvery hair.]

I haven't spoken to all of you yet either. Senri spoke warmly of you even though you weren't his god.

I believe you're correct in that. A homemade meal is the easiest way to understand someone. [Even if it's...lacking. Sieg has impressed them though and if the mask weren't in the way they'd take another bite.]

Senri-kun and I have a very good understanding. [Also they're both stupid about each other for unknown reasons.] He helped me with a wish I wanted to have granted, so I've been getting to know him better. The two of you are friends?

Is there a saying like that? Food is... probably the best I have to offer here.

[A fushigi mystery. There's a pause as Sieg considers it.]

I'd like to say we are, but he hasn't said that to me. It would be presumptuous to assume that level of closeness.

They do say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach in the American films. [Give them a moment to ponder.] Food choices say a lot, I think. What's your favorite?

[But there's a light laugh not long after.] I've a feeling that Senri-kun is the type who doesn't think he has to say it for it to be true. Though that's very kind of you to be considerate of people's feelings. Have you made friends here?

[There's a pause. He's never really thought about what he likes and people keep asking him. The gods keep asking him.]

I don't have one, but the first thing I ever ate was a biscuit.

[Sieg is definitely the type who tends to overthink things. So really the only person he could definitively say he's friends with is:] I'm friends with Cinque.

A biscuit? [That's concerning?] Then next time I'll come more prepared. I haven't spoken to Cinque-chan yet, but she seems very kind.

[It was a good church biscuit, probably.]

We were leaving a battle field at the time, so we didn't have a lot of choices at the time.

She's kind but... what's the phrase? Marches to the beat of her own drum.

Unique, I think, is the word you're looking for. But in that case next time I'll prepare the finest biscuits with jam for you. Or anything else if you'd like.

Hm... I'd like to eat your favorite food, if that's possible.

Oh? I suppose I could request that, but it's a little unconventional. I don't know if I really have a favorite either...but I have several things I like to eat with other people.

I also wanted to learn more about you. Sharing food seems like a good way.

The mask is cumbersome, though normally I would agree with you. I see nothing wrong with creating something for us to share together. You'd like it, I think. It's different.

There are other ways to learn about people though. Stories. Memories. Things of those nature...

Right, but there's only so much you can say since we haven't spoken before. Or at least that's what the other gods have said so far.

So... what kind of a world do you want to make?

Yes and no. It depends on the question and depends on the way it's said. We can't provide too much about ourselves, but other questions? We can try.

Like that, for example. [A hand comes up, a finger lifted for a flourish.] The kind of world I want to make is one where people are free to live independently and follow their own rules and guidelines to live outside of the expectations set upon them. In short, a world where people may follow their heart and be better than what they've been assigned to be. I want a world where people can live and experience life and laugh and have a good day every day. What could be wrong with a world like that?

[Ah. Dramatic? Like Shakespeare, maybe.]

I want to believe in that but... Sometimes what's in people's hearts is the desire to hurt others. They want to see other people suffer for their enjoyment.

Will those kinds of people not exist?

I believe those kind of people will no longer have a reason to act on ill intentions should they be able to live the life they wish to live. Why does violence start in the first place, Sieg-kun? Is it not because people wish to take action and others oppose of it?

I don't know why it starts.

I just... knew somebody who enjoyed hurting people. Not because they did anything to her, because she could.

...did she have anything to gain from it? What happened?

She didn't. Maybe... just to see other people suffer.

...someone said to me that people enjoy worlds because of the good and the bad things, and that you can't know happiness without knowing sadness. I still don't know if I can agree, especially when I hear stories like this.
