Anything you might desire out of someone's company, I suppose?
[ishikirimaru hums, there, contemplative.]
I imagine that especially at this point, there are many who desire the gods' attention for things they require, and there is little wrong with that so long as they give back as well... but I also imagine it is good to leave such expectations out of a visit, sometimes. It is not good to only pray when one wants something.
It would make for something of a poor first meeting, besides.
Oh, man. I hope you start telling people that, because it sure would be nice for people to visit is just to talk instead of just wanting stuff from us.
[the study it is-- it's a nice place to talk, he thinks, and for the sake of not spending forever getting there let's just assume it doesn't take too long to reach it. ishi settles in, getting comfortable, but not before retrieving a sheet of paper and a pen.
he's just going to draw while they talk.]
Do you get to see much of the temple, or are you unable to get out as often as you would like?
Oh, we can wander around as we please - but we're supposed to be all aloof and divine and unapproachable, or whatever. So we don't really hang out with you guys unless you call us first.
It's nice to hear your perspectives on the temple, though.
It's strange to think about, truthfully, but... perhaps it is because I was used to being among the people so often.
[there's the soft scratching of the pen against paper in the background, the occasional thoughtful hum before he adds a detail.]
I do like it here, though. There are parts of the temple I still do not understand very well, considering where I am from, but... I have enjoyed seeing the places some of you have provided each week, as well.
I look forward to seeing yours, as well, though I hope it is not too soon.
[considering that usually the lowest in numbers get to host.]
I will pray for that to be the case, for your sake.
[that comes with a more solemn little nod; sincerity is low at the moment, and while he's thrown his support elsewhere, he would really hate to see a favorite of senri's do too poorly.]
What other rooms did you consider, if I might ask? I am curious what else you thought of.

[Well. Guess who's used to people hitting him up for tasks in exchange for favors?]
If you're not here for a favor, what do you mean?

[he's just... saying...]
Company's always nice. So thanks for stopping by.

[that gets an apologetic look, there. he's making attempts, though mostly it's been on piety's behalf, oops.]
But it is not something you need to thank me for. Shall we go somewhere else to speak, or are you comfortable here?
[considering the altar room is probably one others will want to use.]

Either is fine by me.

[ha ha... ha]
It'd good to know we did an okay job making this place. We couldn't decide what kind of rooms we wanted to give you at first.

[he shrugs]
But it would have overlapped too much with the pool.
