That's because Piety actually has a good head on his shoulders. But he's right, I guess. Let's just say I have some experience leading groups of people to get things done.

He's correct about that. That's been the one thing I've been backing this entire time, along with the idea of a world where people's prayers aren't ignored and respect's earned, not just taken for no reason.
Some of us got slapped with names that aren't exactly the most descriptive. I told somebody else I'd prefer "Clever" or "Tactical" to "Cunning", but I guess it doesn't have the same ring to it.
It's not so much that I believe I can only do it if I win, but I'm pretty sure I have to be in some kind of good standing. There's a reason Piety and I struck a deal. Mutual benefit and all that. He gets exactly what I'm planning to do, and I'm the one who can take charge and do what he wants.

In other words, you're not opposed to working together, as long as you get enough power to be able to accomplish your goals. That's reasonable enough.

The truth is, I've been trying to convince the gods to form an alliance. All this violence seems unnecessary to me when most of your ideas aren't fundamentally opposed.
Exactly. I worked by myself enough, that got me pretty far, but I figure the whole "teamwork" thing actually has some benefit to it. And anyway it's not like I haven't heard the other platforms from the other gods. I don't agree with everything, but it's not the worst idea.
