[ He looks thoughtful. ] Her follower count has been pretty stable for most of the game, right? [ Despite losing a follower as a result of week 3's trial... ] And now she's in the lead. Anyone interested in an easy win would likely gravitate to her right now. With only a few more followers, she could win by majority.
Exactly. The only way to dethrone her now is to create some kind of upset.
[She sighs.]
Well, don't get me wrong, I adore Ambition, and she adores me. It's not that I'm not happy for her, but, well, I'm having a bit of a hard time...as I'm sure you've noticed.
... late last week, Ambition and I were working on a deal. It fell through, but the terms would have had me defect to you. [ a slight smile. ] She's looking out for you, in her own way.
[ a beat, and, slowly: ] When you say some kind of upset, what are you thinking?
Horrible secret? [ yikes. Yu sighs heavily. ] ... it would be in my own best interests to try and help shake things up, but I like Ambition, and think of her as a friend. I don't want to do anything that might hurt her.
... we've been thinking of trying to sway some of her followers away, but we need to figure out who they are first.
Well, good luck with that. I've been playing nice this entire game, doing favors for people and trying to make up for the single mistake I made before the game even officially started, and it's gotten me nowhere.
[Sitting up a bit straighter, she crosses one leg over the other.]
Justice shot up in followers, then was back down to three in a single week's turnover. The only ones winning this game are the ones playing dirty--but you didn't hear that from me.

[ with a slight smile as he crosses to her. ]
... you know I got hit with Advancement Opportunity?

It seems that that might be catching on--but yes, I've heard. That power's a bitch, isn't it?

[ a pause, and a sigh. ] The timing isn't great, I'll give you that much. [ a little dry. ]

[Disorder shrugs.]
Seems like people have taken the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" strategy.

[Down with the patriarchy!!]
Not sure. I suppose some really horrible sort of secret would have to come out...but that would involve someone being pretty loose-lipped.

[Wasn't she, tho.]
It's just that if you really want anyone else to win, just hoping for the best isn't going to accomplish that. Look at Piety.
