Thaaat's surprising. [And yet he doesn't sound too surprised.] But I'll take it. Advancement Opportunity's a bitch of a power, but Ambition's followers have been pretty strategic in using it. I'm almost impressed.
Who are your top contenders right now? Any thoughts?
[ Cunning's the first one to ask him that so directly, and Yu lapses into thoughtful silence. ]
Switching to Beauty, Piety, or Indulgence would keep them safe, should their final follower leave them or be killed. You or Ambition would have the most useful powers when it came to trials.
... we're also trying to find Ambition's followers.
...look at it as a game of strategy. Piety, Beauty and Indulgence all have one. If they're voted guilty, obviously they're gonna lose. But if you know who those three followers are, you can probably check in with them and secure the idea if they're moving at all. As long as they all have one, even if their follower dies during the week, your bases are covered.
Get your safety nets out of the way first. Now, you're right, Art of Deduction's the most useful thing I have for trials, and Ambition's powers are useful for a multitude of reasons. The thing is, Blame Game's pretty messy. Advancement Opportunity's good for post-trials, and you know Mirage can't be used during the trial at all.
When it comes down to it, your two trial powers are Art of Deduction and Blame Game. It's a matter of if you want to smoke somebody out, or if you want an arrow to follow. Again, it's strategy.
Haven't spoken to her yet. Didn't see a reason to. [But that's interesting enough to consider.] I'm not gonna be the one to tell you what to do, but I can tell you that I'm actually your best bet to win this thing. In terms of a world, in terms of what it means for the winners, all that.
Problem is Ambition followers keep using that damn power and people don't sit still long enough to ask what my plans are overall. Kinda stupid.
You know, the thing is, I could believe that. You've got a good head on your shoulders. We don't see eye to eye on everything, but actually, I think that's a good thing.
Will you tell me what your plans are, then?. [ a faint but crooked smile. ] I'd be interested to hear.

Yu, quiet for a long moment while he takes that all in, eventually shakes his head. ]
I wanted to smoke someone out last week with Hopelessly Devoted and ran out of time. That would make Art of Deduction the better bet...
[ A pause. Very thoughtfully: ]
And I think I could learn a lot from you.
[ A shake of his head. ]
Right now? Catra, and only Catra. This won't be simple.

For the game? Or for the world? They're two different things and it's the only reason I'd ask.
