I didn't ask for your opinion. [But he sighs, resigned.] I assumed people would be more willing to listen to a girl who seemed kind and innocent. Not ridicule her.
You summoned me, so actually yes you did. [Aha.] While it isn't a bad strategy, if you're planning on reaching a mass audience you have to be sure you're going to engage someone who has enough connections to be taken seriously. Hardly anyone will believe a girl who isn't nearly as outspoken. [A pause.] You may have had better luck with Madoka-chan.
[Another beat.] Please don't curse Madoka-chan.
[Anyway.] Why do you think I asked Senri-kun for his assistance with my roses? He's very charismatic. He reminds me of…well, me. But I knew he'd do well to get people to listen.
[They lean forward, seemingly staring directly into Sasuke's soul.] So, Uchiha-kun, please explain to me what your ultimate goal is. I'd like to hear your proposition as to why Justice should win.
[Sasuke will remember that. Consider Madoka cursed.]
I can see why he won't shut up about you. [Geez. WHOA. Very slightly, Sasuke leans in the opposite direction even though Beauty isn't exactly in his business or anything.
Don't look at his black, dirty soul.]
He's youngest, a new generation. He has more opportunity to grow into a strong leader. It won't be easy. He has to work for it. People will tell him what he wants to hear, they'll try to force him to do what they want when he is listening to advice.
He talks about me that much? [Immediately the god perks up.] Ahhh, that's adorable! [ANYWAY. Back to Sasuke's tainted soul. Beauty listens, and they consider this for a very, very long time before they bring a hand to cup their chin in thought.]
…do you suppose you're projecting just a little too much, Uchiha-kun?
What were leaders like in your village? Were they old people who were built on tradition? Is that why you're insistent it should be someone young who can be easily influenced to something else? That actually seems a little cruel, forcing someone to have to make their own decisions like that.
[A disappointed shake of the head.] Poor, poor Justice...
[The question makes his hackles raise. Probably because it's not far from the truth?]
Don't give me that. It isn't cruel. Justice is his own god. He can make decisions himself. He's willing to try and listen to others, and he's already shown us he can take initiative.
Unlike the rest of us, whom you haven't even given a chance? [This is now just fascinating, please continue.] I don't disagree that Justice can make decisions himself and that he can take initiative, but I disagree that burning down everyone else is the best solution.
What he wants is... naive without guidance. He doesn’t want to be a tyrant. He doesn’t want anyone to suffer. Noble but difficult to obtain. But it’s the goal I’m looking for in the end.
Thank you. [Beauty leans back in their seat.] ...Justice isn't the only one who wants a peaceful world. Is that impression you've received from others?
From some of them. [It's not necessarily given with impatience, more confusion:] Your point? Wait-- [A bit of curious recognition blooms over his face, and his arms lower slowly.]
What happens if two or more of you tie with followers when time is up?
[What a fascinating question! Beauty pauses, also surprised, but there's an answer.]
If there's a tie...the game's extended by a week, but only the tied gods are playing during that time. From there, it's up to the players to choose who they'll follow. The tally at the end of that week will determine the head of the pantheon.
Most likely that, yes. We were all new to the idea of being gods and having a pantheon that we assumed all of our ideas were better than everyone else's. It's been difficult getting all twelve of us to agree on anything.

He'll have to listen to his spirit.

What does that mean? [His brows furrow.] What am I supposed to be projecting?

I’ve asked the ones I’ve spoken to so far. There’s a few others left. Are you trying to change my mind?

I don't agree with the idea of co-ruling personally... but some are wondering why none of you co-rule a world with some of all of yourselves in it.

What happened before? You said you were new to being gods. When did it happen? Why? Were there gods before you?
I'm not stupid. I know even the "best" of you aren't giving us the whole story.
