[Senri will have to come to the east wing and find Cunning on the porch of the big blue house. He's seated on the ground with his back against the wall, the rice balls on a plate and...poking at them curiously? The hell is this? He doesn't immediately look up as he hears Senri approach though.]

Is this a normal thing? This is a lot of rice.

You've never had one before? It's a rice ball! Super easy super tasty snack. There's salmon on the inside, so I hope you like fish.

Fish is fine but rice balls were never really on the menu here. [Pokepoke.] Are you supposed to just. Bite it? [Is there a specific method. Is this like sushi? Why didn't Senri bring chopsticks?]

Uh-huh! Just shove it in your mouth and take a bite - whenever you can get the mask off anyway. It's finger food!

Got it. [But he's in a mask, so.] I'll have to try it later. Salmon keeps a little longer, at least.

[...another look at Senri.] What's with the outfit?

Do you get along with Cheri? Sincerity?

[senri hums happily]

I think he works miracles.

Mm...I wouldn't say we get along, but I don't exactly go out of my way to talk to him. And vice versa. [Huff.]

[usogi]

Ahh - well Cheri's the one that helped me out.

[he puts his hands on his hips and tilts his head]

Do you really only talk to Dizzy and Bambi then?

They're the only ones I actually trust if that's what you're asking me, and even then that takes effort. [Hm.] Can't be too careful anymore.

[usogi]

Huh? How come...? Bambi cares a whole lot about you - and I assume Dizzy does too... or is it because one of Bambi's followers accidentally got one of yours?

[divus]

The latter, but even without that…it's still a competition and they've very competitive girls. I'm not dumb enough to let my guard down even if I care about both of them.

[Also Cunning is a clusterfuck of issues but that's an aside.]

... you can't just agree to get along together if any of you win? I don't think Bambi would throw you under the bus like that.

Dizzy either - but Bambi and I get along a little more....

That's an agreement, sure. [He's not thrilled with this line of conversation, so he just shakes his head.] How much have you talked to Ambition anyway?

A little bit every week. She's a good friend to me.

[he rocks back and forth on his heels]

Enough that I came to your team because I promised her that I wouldn't let anything happen to the three of you.

...I'm glad she's making friends. [That's softer, actually, and he seems to ponder on that, too.]

She did me a favor, but now I've got the harder job of making sure I keep my numbers up until the game's over while making sure those two stay afloat, too. It's a conflict of interest.

[...caring about people has always been a conflict of interest for him though, so.]

.... I think that might be where a little more trust comes in? Now that there isn't a rule against naming gods, I'm trying to make sure that every god gets at least one follower - up until the game ends, so no one can hurt them.

I'm going to do the same for Dizzy and Bambi....

[and he offers up a smile, weak as it is]

You ever thought about relying more on us in the game?

Let me ask you something, Senri. How many of you are in this to actually help us and how many of you are in it for what we can give you? I'm staying focused on what's important.

[That at the end of the day, he can only rely on himself.] …but I appreciate you looking after them for me.

Don't get me wrong - I still want to win. But I also don't feel right acting like I'm the only one who has to win. I'd be happiest if a lot of people could get what they want, gods included.

[divus]

...no wonder that idiot's become fond of you. [Beauty, he means.] But you get that not everybody feels that way, don't you? Just making sure. It's...not bad, I guess, that you do, but that isn't going to work for everybody.

Hasn't anybody told you how the game works yet? It's about numbers, but it's also about ideals. You have to believe in a god for them to win.

[usogi]

What? Is that what Love meant when the god that I pick matters?

Maybe? I don't know, I don't know what she told you. I don't listen to her.

Okay, then you tell me.

What do you mean by that? Do my ideals have to line up with the god that I've chosen to stay with, in order for them to win? How do you even qualify that?

[divus]

It's more like...let's go with, I don't know, Indulgence. Yeah. He's an easy target. So let's say you go with Indulgence, you hear all about his idea for the world, and you don't exactly agree with it. Maybe it's stupid. Maybe you just don't think it's for the best. Even if he wins and you're aligned with him, his vision won't totally work because not everybody believes in it.

Get it? [There's a chance this may not be 100% accurate, but this is how Cunning understands it.]
