Not really, no.

...she'll recover. She still has one follower, and if something happens to them I'll figure it out in the next week. By then, we'll have one week left. That's if her follower doesn't defect after that disaster.

On the other hand, kinda glad he decided not to go with me after all.

... was he one of the people you held your hand to at the start?

Yep. But he chose differently and then started god-shopping not that long ago. Thought he'd join me but he obviously went with Disorder. He did me a favor by buying her time, but this doesn't help her reputation at all even if it isn't her fault.

[bakaomi]

... no, it really doesn't.

[ and taka actually likes disorder because he apparently has bad taste ]

[A hand comes up, thumbing at his own mask. It shifts a little, but he doesn't bother taking it off.]

...adjusting to all of this has been kinda hard. She was one of the easiest people to get along with. Ambition, too. I'm worried about her numbers shifting soon, too, but there's not much I can do.

... she might be okay. I think people would feel bad for her in particular.

[ considering her being upset made so many people switch to cunning. ]

I don't know if I want people to be with her just because they feel bad for her. It feels dishonest and it won't be worth it in the end.

But she's in the higher ranks right now. If she wins...I think she'd at least bring me and Disorder with her.

... how many people choose who to switch to based on if they genuinely want them to win or not? Or is it based on just being worried they'd hit zero, or wanting to use their powers...?

Usually the last two. I can't think of anybody who's actually switched to me because they believe in my ideals, and I don't care. I'll earn it some other way.

[bakaomi]

I guess... although the problem with that is that they'd more easily switch to someone else.

Now you're getting it.

..,but we knew this was gonna happen when we started the game. So I'm not that surprised.

[bakaomi]

You guys keep saying that we shouldn't just all decide on one god to win so we end the game more quickly.

[divus]

Even if you all aligned with one god the game's a minimum of six weeks. You then run the risk of someone like Newt going around killing us off anyway, and people killing in their own faction because sometimes people are just like that. Not a pretty picture.

So everyone's whole thing of wanting to end the game early would have never worked in the damn first place?

[divus]

Nope. Not the way you wanted it to. It's good for you to talk, sure, but the game would keep going until the weeks are up.

[He reaches up, touching the edge of his mask and twisting it just enough to reveal his mouth. A straw is dunked in the soda Taka offered and he takes a sip, carefully holding the mask in place before letting it cover his face again.] Nice try though. Really.

[ he manages not to grin at him giving in to the soda. ]

It didn't really work anyway, and I doubt we'd be able to figure it out in the time we have left.

At least one of you is realistic. In a way sometimes I think you guys needed more weeks to understand everything, but who would wanna do that?

I will steal your straw.

[divus]

I'm a god. I can get a new one. [He sounds...amused? Unlike previous encounters. He could also just take off the mask but why?]

I'll just start a straw collection then.

[divus]

You give me a soda and then you wanna take away my ability to drink it? Cruel, man.

I'd probably give one back, for a favor.
