... I was wondering about that. If Ray's killer had been Guy, it would have made a little more sense because his kills involved fire, so you'd think he would have come prepared for something like that.

But it isn't. Ishikirimaru and I couldn't even try to get through the flames.

Because you're not supposed to be able to. So that means even things I create can't stop somebody with an intent, I guess. Would've been nice to know beforehand.

But they should've burned or something. It doesn't make sense.

Yeah, and Love's wing had a bunch of healing items. Plus there's the ambrosia I gave...well, just Connor now. Zoe and Ray didn't...[He waves that off.] But it's possible.

If anything, you shouldn't rely too much on strip searches and focus more on people's behavior.

You wanna know what else is a major problem with this game? The whole mob mentality you guys get going when you latch onto an idea. Why do you think I'm not seeing most people until you all calm down?

Can I admit that I'm responsible for Guy since he's aligned with me? Sure. But I'll be damned if I'm getting blamed for Estelle's choice so Guy can live.

Well, it's a bunch of temperamental people stuck together under a stressful situation who all think they're right.

With that said, how do you think you can get those kind of people to calm down long enough and function together as a unit?

I'd say step one is to stop getting mad.

... try to explain your point properly. I guess one of the problems is the time limit, so people don't want to waste time in doing that in the way they would have normally. So they go from that extreme to the other extreme of getting frustrated when people don't go along with them.

Nine hours doesn't give you a lot of time, especially when your numbers are smaller. ...you ever read Lord of the Flies? Maybe you guys should instill the conch shell system to get everybody to shut up unless they're allowed to talk.

But yeah. Last weekend was a great example. People started arguing, that kid got hit with a Disorder power, more items came into play and you almost didn't investigate all of the places you needed to go.

... we need to make sure people double check bodies. But different people, instead of just the same ones over and over. Maybe we can start with the ones who have experience with it, and then later make sure someone to make sure they didn't miss anything.

In my case before, whoever searched your wing just missed a lot of shit. [ hIS GUN???? ] But having people double check those is more time consuming.

Good observation. Double-checking doesn't hurt. [There's a snort though because yeah, that was a lot.]

What's your solution for something like that then? Let's say someone goes to search an area. How would you even know something's missing?

Maybe actually touch things while looking instead of just of using your eyes?

We could always ask whoever's hosting if there is anything we didn't check thoroughly, but... you guys can lie. Especially if we ask whoever the Piety follower summons. Ambition lied last trial, Merriment lied for us...

Well, I don't know if it was outright lying [ like merriment, who is the best god of all times ] but just that she probably would have answered differently if she wasn't actually involved.

Maybe, maybe not. But that's the other thing, you guys have to stop jumping to conclusions unless you have mostly proof and not speculation. Pretty sure that's another place you're tripping up.

Coming up with theories isn't bad, but... I think everyone wants to solve it as quickly as possible.

Yeah, I know. [He finally sits up at least, shifting to where his back's against the wall next to his bed but staying seated on the mattress.] ...back in my world, once, somebody stole Zeus's master lightning bolt from Olympus. Because he and his two brothers, Poseidon and Hades, had this ongoing pact and feud happening thanks to a prophecy, they started pointing fingers at each other and flipping out. At the time, Poseidon was the only one who had a kid that was around and present and accounted for. This kid and a bunch of other people assume that because Hades was pissed he didn't have a seat on the counsel, Hades stole the bolt to start a war in Olympus. So this kid and a few of his friends head to the Underworld to try and get the bolt back. Later they found out that Hades' held of darkness went missing, too. So this whole thing blows out of proportion, gods start fighting with each other, blah blah blah…everybody starts jumping to all kinds of conclusions...

…and they never actually caught the real thief because he was busy doing something else in the background that was even bigger than they could dream of. By the time they found out? It was a little too late for them to stop the beginning of the end.

So. What do you take away from that? [Is Taka smart? We don't know.]
